Meta: Henri the Otter of Ennui Update
The football team has been so successful lately that Henry, the Otter of Ennui, has taken up a new hobby: surfing!

Steamer Lane is a legendary point break nestled along the rocky shores of Santa Cruz, home to swaths of experienced surfers, as well as a 5-year-old female sea otter with a growing reputation for repeatedly confronting surfers and kayakers.
Videos across social media show the otter hoisting itself out of the ocean and onto boards while surfers sit back in awe.
How’s your Friday? What are you drinking? Etc.
I love that our favorite otter is now surfing but I will always take a surfin' bird because it is the word
I remember the surfin bird song as kid in the mid 60s. The ghoul use to use the middle part of the song in some of his skits.
I prefer the Ramones version. Going to listen to it now.
For those who haven't heard the Ramones version:
Sorry, but you can't beat the Trashmen's version.
I remember it played during the Mark "The Bird" Fidrych dream season in 1976.
There's a song that pays tribute to Mark Fidrych's "dream season in 1976" and his tragic passing in 2009.
One of my favorite shows back in the day. Alas he’s no longer with us.

This is the dawning of the sea otter! Know this, surfers! I shall smash your skulls like a clam on my tummy!
Otter this world.
He otter know you can't just steal surfboards.
He isn't stealing it, he just knows what side to be on with sharks in the water. Higher life forms realize things like this.
Did not Henri show up after the TCU loss? A team we should have beaten with ease? I still don't get that loss, espcially by half time of the championship game.
The ennui is strong in this one!
I think there is also a Steamer Lane in Cleveland, but I don't think it's for surfing.
I've always wondered is it pronounced On-ri like Thierry Henry? Or is it simply pronounced Hen-ree? I like the idea of Henry the Otter of Ennui being French.
The name has the French spelling (Henri), which assumes (in my mind) a French pronunciation. It isn't "Henry the Otter of Ennui". Maybe Henry the Hippo of Zen...but that's not quite the same.
The French pronunciation also works better paired with "ennui," i.e., "ohn-REE" and "on-WEE."
I titled the post Henri because that’s how I have always said it in my head. However, the site suggested the tag, “Henry…”
I'll be enjoying

That’s not Henri but his sister Henriette.
