Was never right. Theres an expected adjustment period and we don’t have the experience we had last year to accommodate that. Mike Smith got off to a pretty slow start last year as well. Started the year 2/12 from three for example and ended up as a 42% shooter beyond the arc.

we never ever EVER take adjustment periods into account. because fans are idiots. i had a couple of running arguments about why beilein was playing duncan robinson. eli brooks stunk out loud, j.j. over cade NOW, and #firegattis.
i have absolutely no doubt that davante jones will be a productive player this season.

It’s obviously true with freshmen, but a lot of people underestimate the adjustment for transfers. It’s a big step up for guys like Robinson coming from DIII, Smith coming from the Ivy League and Jones coming from the Sun Belt to playing Big Ten basketball. On top of the simple adjustments of just being in a new place, new system, with new people. It understandably takes some time.

I really hope they start experimenting with a smaller line up at some point. Move Houstan to the 4 and bring in a 3rd guard. Luckily the offense is flowing better, so far.

Yeah I’d think you’d like a little better of a defensive presence at the 4 if you’re going with three guards. Houstan has improved there a bit but I think maybe guarding bigs in the post is asking a bit much.

I think 'Maizen' has finally given up on his one-man war on 3* recruits, at least here on the MGoBoard. It's been at least several months since he last reincarnated himself under a new username and then subsequently got himself banned again.
I'd put the over/under at a dozen on how many different user accounts he has had here.

Michigan looks really sharp today... very unselfish with the passing.
Good to see Jones picking up his play, and great to see some of the young guys like Collins, Bufkin and Zeb with playing time. Houstan and Diabate have looked very good today.
SUU is a bit undersized as noted in the broadcast, but holding their offense down has been a great example of positional defense and switches and not only the size differential
