But Maybe Hackett Should Buy a New Watch?

At first, Hackett said the brightly-colored watch was meant to serve as tangible reminders of "the day our guy came home."
Seven months later, Hackett's still wearing the watch. It doesn't work as well as it once did, but it's still there.
What kind of watch doesn't work as good as when it was new...7 months ago?!
probably an adidas watch

He said he would take it off when JH wins his first game. Kickstarter to buy him a Rolex or Patek Philippe?
I made the mistake of buying some cheap, no name batteries off of Amazon for one of my nicer watches, and I'm being a cheapskate and not allowing those batteries to go to waste. I pretty watch have to swap out the battery to my not so cheap watch once every 5 months or so.
wrong one.
Deviancy with corn. Also a good name for a midwestern punk band.
but this makes me respect the guy even more:
"I wear this (watch) to remind (Harbaugh) he hasn't won a game yet," Hackett says. "I'll take it off when he wins his first game.
"For both of us, humility with all the drama (and hype around the program) is (important), this is about Michigan earning its rightful place and performing at the level that we know we can."
The contrast with the "If it ain't broke, break it!" arrogance of his predecessor is mind-boggling.
How many Michigan watches do you own?
You're overplaying this schtick, pal.
As long as Hackett keeps doing what he's doing, I don't give a damn if he straps a sundial to his wrist.
How's about a Shinola?
Apparently they do make their own movements in the US, which is pretty rare. Not sure if 100% of the parts in the movement are sourced domestically.
Thought about getting one, but nothing really caught my eye.
If I didn't hate wearing a watch and didn't mind dropping a bunch of money on something my phone already does, I'd have possibly bought one.

I actually kind of like this move, and I like what he said about maintaining humility even with all the hype and the drama so that there could be the best possible focus on the goal, which is getting Michigan to that place where they know it can be.
to you.
It's right twice a day, though.
