March Madness, Round 1, Day 2, Open Thread 3

I wasn't on here that much during the games yesterday, and I think it caused my bad showing (got to blame it on something). Lost some skirmishes, but no major battles. The war is still winnable. Let the games begin!!

We can only hope that Friday afternoon is a great as yesterday And, well, the site administrator, web guru for the JCB picked OU and even posted it in his first ever post and pick on the blog. That would be WLA member and occasional MGo Commentator Maize4Blue.

I lost Georgetown and Richmond who I had beating Nova.....seemed realistic after that awful showing against Bob Morris. I'm in 205th as of now....but the commish gets a free t-shirt right?

...that West Virginia is struggling without Beilein, or bad that all of Beilein's players that were carrying Huggins are stinking right now?

I didn't do as bad yesterday as many others--I only lost GTown and Marquette in the Sweet 16, and no one yet in the Elite 8. Luckily I didn't buy into the UTEP hype. I was 2-2 in close games. BYU pulled it out for me, and the Murray State buzzer beater. I lost Marquette-UW and Texas-Wake. I've got Cornell and Xavier right now, and Xavier in the Sweet 16 in some brackets. I hope they pull it out.

I'd like to give a big shout out to Temple, Georgetown, and Marquette. Thank you kindly for fucking my bracket up beyond repair. I hope each one of these schools decide to move to Ohio. That is where they belong.

watching the purdue sienna game is like watching old pickup games from college on fast forward - very sloppy, ridiculous shot selection, but very very fast paced.

Finally a game in "Big Ten Territory" worth watching in Wisky-Wofford, and we're stuck watching Oakland get beat up.

Wow, Sparty is bailed out by . . . a lane violation? I don't know how you call that at that point in the game. It looked pretty routine to me.
