Didn't know that Alabama has yet to beat a ranked opponent......but that probably won't stop them from getting into the CFP. All the more reason to schedule non-conference cupcakes.

They won't be laughing when they have to play them in the playoff again. Alabama won't even have to play in the conference championship. Good luck beating them twice.

Ohio St vs Clemson
Championship:
Ohio St vs Alabama
Tua Tagovailoa having all the way until January for his ankle to heal. Alabama players and coaches thinking for 2 months about losing to LSU, and all the mistakes they made in the 1st half. They have an extremely tight ship when they face LSU in January. It's a game for the ages. Alabama wins. Then Alabama and Ohio St meet in the National Championship. It's another game for the ages. But Alabama has coaches that are better overall than LSU's, with more big game experience. And they win. Just what I'm thinking will happen. I don't want that. But I can't lie.

In reality though, I think a 1-loss LSU MIGHT get in over a 1-loss Big 12/Pac 12 team. So it could be UGA, OSU, Clemson, and LSU.

I don't think you're too far off in that scenario, frankly. UGA, LSU, Bama all with one loss. If OSU wins out, I see them taking the fourth spot in that lineup. And then the committee has their dramatic story for the offseason and a running narrative how they're going to do what is good for college football and expand the playoff to 6 teams, with a plan for 8 in the future. The networks will both vilify the committee as corrupt and then run with a full-year narrative on changes to the system again... all so that we can justify having tree SEC teams in the playoffs every year going forward.

I don't agree with all power 5 conferences getting in. The PAC 12 doesn't deserve to get in and Clemson is damn near in a group of five conference. I want to see the top 8 teams in the country in a playoff.
You'll still have rankings. If a team wins a conference with three or four losses, are they supposed to take the 14th ranked team in the country in a 6 team playoff?
