Legacy Patches for sale?
Hey, simple question: is there any place that is selling replica legacy patches, specifically the Tom Harmon one? I would like to buy one and get it sewed on the 98 jersey I have coming in from MDen, but can't find them anywhere. Have done the same with Cup Finals patches on Red Wings sweaters, but no luck in tracking one down so far.

I'm going to guess that any profits would have to be shared, unless the families are willing to donate them to the University. Not that it would be a deal-breaker, but it's something that would have to be worked out, if it hasn't already.

Just a question, but why do you think the profits would need to be shared? It's not like they share any profits with Desmond or Charles for their replica jerseys now with their names on the back. I believe the University has all rights to their products and there is no sharing of the profits, even if they should, but that's another argument.

I'd gladly drop the $160 for an ol' 98 jersey with the Harmon patch. Without it...I'm not going to buy it.

I was told at the game that the patches wouldn't be sold so there would be no "replica" legacy jerseys floating around.
I'm not sure what the purpose is other than to legitimize any legacy jersey on the market as "game worn."

As far as I'm concerned, the authentic 98 jersey IS the ol' Harmon sweater version.

I emailed the MDEN last year about a Jake Ryan jersey with the Legends patch on it and they told me the Legends patch would not be available for purchase.

Don't think so. But it may have the uber-cool "9T8" license-plate logo on it...as seen here in the replica version of the 98 jersey, for sale on the MDen.
