Journalist

So I have a serious question. Not meant to be inflammatory or emotional. With hoke's comments "didn't see Morris wobble" how can that just be glossed over?

I get he has to be political but whatever happened to real "journalism" and asking the hard follow up question?

I find it very poor taste that answer just gets glossed over. It's not like Hoke had a headset to distract him. Why is he not paying 100% attention to his partially injured QB?

Why was that not asked? Save the headset joke I get it but come on.

Once the dust settles and all the scores of the day are recapped and the media moves into "looking back at the week" phase there will be serious blood in the water over this. This flagrant disregard for a player's safety will be dissected from every angle. And Hoke will be fired.

Gardner got hammered in many games, and many times, motioned off. We don't know yet... wait until the press conference.  I think Hoke has earned the benefit of the doubt about protecting his players interests.

His handling of Morris today was the last straw for me having ANY confidence whatsoever in Hoke. I'm convinced he's unable to make a single good decision while coaching football games.

It was on the far side of the field from the bench, right? How would he see it? Morris was behind other players until he looked at the bench and waved them off. Now, if the targeting call had been made, then there would have been a review and there wouldn't be an excuse. But with no targeting call, why would the coach know there was a head shot?

I know everyone is irate, but stick to the real reasons to be mad.

Hoke's not a fan just hanging out down there. It's his job to watch the team on the field. The fact he didn't see his QB get battered or at least have an assistant that saw it who could tell him, is inexcusable. Hell, not having a headset on so someone in the booth could tell you is inexcusable. That's why people wear headsets.

With those losing he could stand behind him saying all the right things for the players, making them better men, graduating, etc. Now this issue contradicts that in a way. It's the old saying, "I can't hear what your say your actions speak so loudly." It's sad.
