for many reasons, like for the sake of giving a big FU to critics such as the Freep.

But at the end of the day, he made the decisions on recruiting and coaching personnel hires that led to an utterly destroyed defense. I'm not sure if he should have any more chances.

Jon 'hit the nail on the head!' he poured out on paper exactly what I have been thinking for 15 months!! This article needs to be passed around like a Spartan cheerleader at a fraternity in E.Lansing (oh relax). Jon, you sir are a man of character and integrity! Not like those ass clowns at jihad Freep...I do have one small complaint though: god I wish you would have mentioned the biggest Fieger of 'em all!...Drew 'sucks donkey balls' Sharp! but it's okay, point still made!

I am still trying to figure out why the free p decided to ruin their reputation like this.  They have alienated a lot of readers for no good reason.

The freep is just mimicking what media of all types has now become. Tell outright lies over and over and when you get caught just ignore that they were lies.

And, then, repeat.

The amazing part is that a huge number of people are complete fracking idiots and believe the lies -- even after being provided with evidence that they are lies.

Woooo, hooooo -- we a de-volving!

Share this article with friends and coworkers.  Vast majority of people that I know, know nothing about the facts and think Rod was doubling what other schools practice, which harmed players.

4 hour daily limits and 20 hour weekly limit.

57 of the 65 daily hours they went over during the 2 year period was from adding stretching.

In 2008, they only went over the weekly limit once by 20 minutes -- their worst weekly limit violation.

Rosenberg "can't remember" how many players he interviewed for the article are still on the team and admitted he probably shouldn't have said he wanted Rod fired a few months before he wrote the misleading article.

The Detroit Free Press is essentially Fox News or MSNBC, depending on your political leanings and school affiliation.  If you're a Spartan fan, or just really hate Michigan, it speaks the truth that the other broadcasts miss. On the other hand, if you're a Michigan fan you see it as the enemy; a slanted opinion that holds its own bias up as if it were integrity.
