Jimmy and the Jets
It's seems that Frank Gore, at least, thinks Harbaugh would be a good fit for the Jets.
"He'll make this team very competitive," Gore explained. "He'll get a great staff with him. He knows how to get the guys to go to war for him, to do whatever it takes and try their best to win. That's my man. Harbaugh is my man."

I really wish it would have worked here. I love JH.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:33 PM ^
Jim isn’t going anywhere as much as some of us want it to happen,
January 5th, 2021 at 9:40 PM ^
My inside sources continue to say he’s back for another year unless he resigns.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:59 PM ^
I guarantee Harbaugh resigns.
January 5th, 2021 at 10:18 PM ^
We're not a bank, Jerry.
January 6th, 2021 at 12:57 AM ^
oh those numbers are right alright
January 6th, 2021 at 12:58 AM ^
double post
January 5th, 2021 at 10:35 PM ^
I thought if we would have went 2-7 that was possible. Not now.
January 6th, 2021 at 1:28 AM ^
Yea.. it won't be this year... or next year.. but at some point in his career, he'll probably resign.
January 5th, 2021 at 10:06 PM ^
Why do you keep saying this, but we see no extension, Harbaugh or Warde comments on the matter? Is it because you don’t think NFL teams have interest in him?
January 5th, 2021 at 10:40 PM ^
The extension is still being worked on. It will be signed soon enough. JH interviewing coaching candidates this week and some will be closed next week. Some strong DC’s in the mix, possibly DL too. As I mentioned last week, there were notable missing coaches today. Same names as last week and a surprise or two.
January 6th, 2021 at 2:38 AM ^
If the Chargers or Jets were to pick Harbaugh he would be gone. But he's well down on their list for a new coach. So, I think Jim will be back. Ready to get us back to 9 wins in a few years and some more OSU, Outback bowl or Citrus bowl loses.
January 6th, 2021 at 11:03 AM ^
"Some strong DC's in the mix"
Am I reading too much into a potential last name in here?
January 5th, 2021 at 9:40 PM ^
I do not care for Harbaugh as a character. It was goofy and funny when he was irking Pete Carroll at USC but when you keep getting up in your rival's face and never deliver a win you just come off as an annoying screaming child looking for attention.
This last season was the worst. Press conferences of insultingly dishonest assessments of the team as though he could just coach speak away the worst Michigan football team in 50 years. Although, I guess here we are potentially giving him an extension. Maybe he did just coach speak away a disaster of a team.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:44 PM ^
Let’s not forget the BIG 10’s coaches call where he called out Ryan Day and OSU of cheating in their recruiting without providing evidence then or after. He may have had a breakdown.

Clowns
January 5th, 2021 at 10:13 PM ^
Glad someone compared Year 1 of a complete rebuild Rich Rod to Year 6 of Harbaugh.
One, I don't recall the Rich Rod teams quitting on him.
Two, you're comparing Harbaugh to a fired coach.
Three, this team was getting at most 3 wins if season played out including massive blowouts to OSU and Iowa.
January 5th, 2021 at 10:19 PM ^
You must have missed the bowl game against Mississippi State, I've never seen a team quit like that.
January 5th, 2021 at 10:51 PM ^
And RR against Wisconsin where Wisconsin didn't even throw a single pass in the second half. That was BAD.
January 6th, 2021 at 8:35 AM ^
That wasn't in 2008, though. That was one of RR's other "worst games."
January 5th, 2021 at 10:30 PM ^
You back precious?
And your reading comprehension still sucks.
I was just pointing out to Kermit that 2008 was the worst season in last 50 years.
MSU 2nd half outscored 14-13, IND 2nd half 14-14, WISC all points scored in the second, Rutgers they outscored them by 9 points after half, PSU 14-14 second half.
I see the suck, but where's the "give up"?
And will never know if they would've been 2-7 or 6-4 because it was THIS season.
I think you should make all your important decisions based upon what happen in 2020 first, than let us know how it goes.
January 6th, 2021 at 12:09 AM ^
How anyone still defends RR is mind consuming to me ....the dude went 6-18 in B1G games....the man couldn’t win.....I feel like I’m taking crazy pills here!
January 6th, 2021 at 12:53 AM ^
Don Brown's worst defense was still an improvement over Rodriguez.
January 5th, 2021 at 10:00 PM ^
He was great in that episode of the Office with Steve Carell but also great at irking Pete Carroll.
January 6th, 2021 at 12:06 AM ^
Yes, this was just a normal year without any unusual distractions or obstacles, a perfect year to judge the state of the coaching and team, lol.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:45 PM ^
It did work here!
Unfortunately, It only worked enough to get us back to the BoMoLlo level and not into the top 5, like clowns with unrealistic expectations thought.
And if we get the '15 & '16 Harbaugh back or the one that wanted to beat the shit outta Jim Schwartz, it still might work to a CFP.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:54 PM ^
See, clowns.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:55 PM ^
If you believe Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh for 7.5 million a year to go 10-3 and 9-4 and never win a big ten title you’re the clown.
January 5th, 2021 at 10:16 PM ^
Was that in the contract? Did Jim give that money back? Did USC pay Clay Helton to lose 13 games in the last three years?
Michigan payed Jim Harbaugh his market value because this program was circling the toilet bowl and about to become irrelevant.
He instantly turned around the downward spiral and got UofM into one of the top dozen programs; has it regressed the last two years? Yes.
Has it regressed enough he deserves to be fired? Yes!
But you don't fire a guy that turned a dumpster fire into a program just because he didn't get you over the top, unless you've got the guy who can.
Clowns!
January 5th, 2021 at 7:58 PM ^
Frank Gore = grinder
he has fond memories of his kindred spirit, early 2010s Jim Harbaugh
Does that Jim still exist?
January 5th, 2021 at 8:03 PM ^
Exactly. JH got guys to go to war for him early in his Michigan days but no longer. Maybe a change of scenery gets that back for him. Might be like a Larry Brown type coach that needs a change of scenery every few years.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:28 PM ^
This probably should be emphasized a lot more; Jim’s previous head coaching gigs have never been for as long as his stay in Ann Arbor has been.
This is uncharted territory for him, career-wise...there may be a good reason for that.
January 6th, 2021 at 5:05 AM ^
This has been mentioned before, a while back, that his HC stints have never exceeded 4 years (I believe) and that his personality was the type to wear out his welcome in that time.
January 5th, 2021 at 10:19 PM ^
Larry Brown gave Toby in Houston a change in scenery, that much I know.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:01 PM ^
He remembers JMFH. We last saw that guy on a November Saturday in 2016 in the toilet bowl in Columbus getting screwed by the B1G refs.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:04 PM ^
You can have him. Let’s go get Matt Campbell
January 5th, 2021 at 8:46 PM ^
Matt Cambell is not the answer! Don’t understand why people think so!
January 5th, 2021 at 8:48 PM ^
Who do you think is?
January 5th, 2021 at 9:05 PM ^
He might not be the answer but he's the best option we've got.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:47 PM ^
Is he interested? Have there even been talks? Or just another entitled UM fan projecting their hopes\fantasies?
January 5th, 2021 at 9:06 PM ^
He’s arguably closer to being the answer than pretty much any other realistic candidate. All of which are closer to being the answer than the current version of Harbaugh.
January 5th, 2021 at 9:09 PM ^
Matt Cambell is not the answer!
Agree. But what about Matt Campbell?
January 5th, 2021 at 10:59 PM ^
No - Matt Campbell is not the answer either. Harbaugh is our best option right now. Matt Campbell = PJ Fleck = Jeff Brohm. Harbaugh is a better coach than all three of them combined. He will get it figured out.
January 6th, 2021 at 6:25 AM ^
It depends on what the question is. If it is "What is the name of the football coach of Iowa State, missing a "p"?", then Matt Cambell is the answer.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:06 PM ^
Frank Gore won't play for the Jets again, I doubt they care what he thinks. Hard to believe he has made it this long, what a career for a RB.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:12 PM ^
Hard to believe he made it this long especially considering he tore his ACL twice at Miami before he even got to the NFL.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:10 PM ^
I fully support this, and Jim should go do a couple more seasons with Frank Gore.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:21 PM ^
I think it’s actually “Benny” and the jets.
January 5th, 2021 at 8:28 PM ^
I saw him wearing electric boots and a mohair suit
