Jimmy and the Jets

It's seems that Frank Gore, at least, thinks Harbaugh would be a good fit for the Jets.

"He'll make this team very competitive," Gore explained. "He'll get a great staff with him. He knows how to get the guys to go to war for him, to do whatever it takes and try their best to win. That's my man. Harbaugh is my man."

The extension is still being worked on. It will be signed soon enough. JH interviewing coaching candidates this week and some will be closed next week. Some strong DC’s in the mix, possibly DL too. As I mentioned last week, there were notable missing coaches today. Same names as last week and a surprise or two.

I do not care for Harbaugh as a character. It was goofy and funny when he was irking Pete Carroll at USC but when you keep getting up in your rival's face and never deliver a win you just come off as an annoying screaming child looking for attention.

This last season was the worst. Press conferences of insultingly dishonest assessments of the team as though he could just coach speak away the worst Michigan football team in 50 years. Although, I guess here we are potentially giving him an extension. Maybe he did just coach speak away a disaster of a team.

Glad someone compared Year 1 of a complete rebuild Rich Rod to Year 6 of Harbaugh.

One, I don't recall the Rich Rod teams quitting on him.

Two, you're comparing Harbaugh to a fired coach.

Three, this team was getting at most 3 wins if season played out including  massive blowouts to OSU and Iowa.

You back precious?

And your reading comprehension still sucks.

I was just pointing out to Kermit that 2008 was the worst season in last 50 years.

MSU 2nd half outscored 14-13, IND 2nd half 14-14, WISC all points scored in the second, Rutgers they outscored them by 9 points after half, PSU 14-14 second half.

I see the suck, but where's the "give up"?

And will never know if they would've been 2-7 or 6-4 because it was THIS season.

I think you should make all your important decisions based upon what happen in 2020 first, than let us know how it goes.

Was that in the contract? Did Jim give that money back? Did USC pay Clay Helton to lose 13 games in the last three years?

Michigan payed Jim Harbaugh his market value because this program was circling the toilet bowl and about to become irrelevant.

He instantly turned around the downward spiral and got UofM into one of the top dozen programs; has it regressed the last two years? Yes.

Has it regressed enough he deserves to be fired? Yes!

But you don't fire a guy that turned a dumpster fire into a program just because he didn't get you over the top, unless you've got the guy who can.

Clowns!

No - Matt Campbell is not the answer either.  Harbaugh is our best option right now.  Matt Campbell = PJ Fleck = Jeff Brohm.  Harbaugh is a better coach than all three of them combined.  He will get it figured out.
