Jay Bilas's 2021 picks?
Love Bilas's analysis. He wrote an article behind ESPN+ a few hours ago with every one of his picks in the tourney. I am not paying $6 to get ESPN+ just to read Bilas's picks though.
So, I am kindly asking, if you have ESPN+, could you please share with all of us (without getting yourself into trouble, obviously) Bilas's picks for this year's tourney? Thank you.
From what I heard, he picked the better teams to win each time. What's interesting is that sometime the best team wins and other times the better teams win.
My sources are suspect, however.
I have it on good authority that Jay Bilas doesn't know shit
Jay Bilas is kind of annoying.
His whole presentation says "Smug privilege."
Yep. Perfect one word description. When he’s on, I change the channel. Or at least mute the sound and look away. Even worse then an ancient Vitale even if Bilas knows his stuff.
I'll take him over Vitale and Dakich.
That's not saying much.
Forgot Dakich. He is the worst.
His politics suck too
Short version:
All ones seeds except Michigan in the final four- Bama replaces Michigan after beating them in the elite 8.
Gonzaga over Illinois in the finals.
Very very chalky across the board- 1 vs 2 in every elite 8 matchup except WVU beating Houston.
After the way a lot of people dissed us last night, the Elite Eight has been the rosiest prediction. I'm really hoping that if we make it that far, we can get 80% of Livers, if this is not a stress fracture, but stress injury.
Livers confirmed that it was a stress fracture in his postgame interview after OSU.
It's possible he misspoke though. We usually hear about stress fractures. We all assumed it was a fracture even though official statements have never said that.
I'm much more worried about Florida State and St. Bonv than I am Alabama.
I read this article each year referenced in this thread, and he's definitely always very chalky throughout the board with his bracket (some years it works, some years it doesn't..)
DOOOOK all the way
duh
Is he still whining about Tommy Amaker's firing?
He pretty much said that every block/charge call will be wrong and that the ref’s will deciding who wins.
He picked Duke over Harvard in the final.
After the first game, Bilas has us beating LSU and FSU to make the Elite 8, but then has us losing to Alabama.
He has MSU beating UCLA and BYU, then losing to Texas.
In the Final Four he has the Zags beating Bama, and Illinois beating Baylor. Then the Zags over Illinois in the championship game.
FYI regarding ESPN+, just in case some people don’t know, if anybody has Verizon you can get ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu free. I had Verizon for a while and just discovered this fairly recently.
I can't really say that Jay is way off here. I kinda see it going this way, too.
Then again, I know jack shit about this (and I do VERY BADLY in the brackets each year), and Jay is supposedly an expert -- so, if my views are more or less matching up with his, well...you may wanna take that into consideration when you fill out your sheets!
I think his picks are fairly reasonable as well.
professional gamblers play to win, not to win big....
Jay Bilas is one of the chalkiest "experts" there are. Every year he picks 3 to 4 one seeds to make the final four. If it wasn't for Livers injury, he'd probably have all 4 one seeds in the final 4.
Heisenberg!
