i got tired though of watching uofm and that's how come lc had to go and a new brand of football had to come about...too bad the "MM" cronies screwed everything up by running rr out of town. now its back to losing bowl games, boring tv, no nat'l championships, recruiting midwest players, playing not to lose and waiting for the old guard alumni to die away to make room for even more arrogant and self-entitlement anus' to go to the games. hey, uofm, lets take the lights out just like the good old days too...who likes watching night games on espn anyway...we are michigan and we dont play night games! i loved watching uofm lose the rose bowl, against nebraska / appy state / tsuo / oregon / nwstrn / bad nd & illinois teams / and to minnesota on the last play at home...great, lets get back to the old days...whoooo. it seems like the whole state of uofm football is taking lessons from the detroit automakers and politicians. nice. hey, maybe all of uofm staff should ride in a covered wagon since they want to live in the good old days! congrats to being mediocre again.

Funny . . . I can't seem to recall any bowl victories or national championships under the previous staff. And maybe I'm imagining things, but I'm pretty sure our new coach has a national championship ring.

I was hoping for more than the Michigan we are accustomed to. Remember Hart, Hennie, and Long as Seniors losing to Appalachian State. That is the MIchigan I hoped we left befind. Now it appears to be the road ahead.

And how, exactly, did RR represent the antidote to what ailed us against App State? Our problems in that game weren't on offense.

I think if there's one thing we learned the last few years it's that Rich Rodriguez is not exactly a defensive mastermind. It's been confirmed.

RR's signature game! Or the thriller against UMass

is a good thing. The buy-in from all parties will allow him a relatively long honeymoon period to right this floundering ship.

To claim that we are going back to the losing, predictable ways of old days is laughable. RR has the lowest winning percentage of any coach in 131 years of Michigan football. We just suffered the WORST bowl loss in our history. If you enjoyed watching the losses during the old days, you must have really enjoyed RR's tenure.
As far as the "(There's a quote somewhere from mocking USC players about how predictable Michigan was.)," well, you can go back less than 2 weeks to find several "predictable offense" quotes in the Gator Bowl post-game presser from MSU players.
