Isaac Seumalo (Magnuson's friend) to Oregon State
It's better than another RIP post. In most years Isaac would have most likely had a spot, I can live with this one getting away.
for elite talent on the OL at this point.
This doesn't hurt us much.
Get for the beavers. Surprise he did not jump at a Oregon offer. Cool.
Oregon has, uh, problems right now. I wouldn't want to go there given there's a solid chance they get slaughtered for the Will Lyles thing.
I want Diamond and Kalis. I think they'll round out our O-line. Rivals said that Diamond might want to commit by the end of the summer and hopefully Bars' commitment speeds that up. If Kalis commits this week, I give Diamond two weeks before he commits.
said he may wait till after the season. He's still weighing his decision timeline options.
I didn't want to start a thread on this so here it is:
http://www.chatsports.com/michigan-wolverines/a/Mi chigan-football-recruiting-rumors-10-2-192
Not sure whether to believe it or not but it's exciting to some degree.
Thanks for posting the site on here Nosce Te.
"page could not be found."
I just noticed that. Not sure why the link isn't going directly to the page I copied it from. You can click home, click Michigan Wolverines and scroll down to the post with Rumors in the header and read it there.
I was sure you had something there. :)
Edit: That's how you figure it would happen too. I wouldn't want to invite ruin upon myself living there for an entire year. We all know it will happen, they all know it will happen, but if it isn't official until well after the last weekend in November then it'll be easier on everybody. I can imagine some zealous slappies seeking retribution after a tough November loss or opening a Twitter account to stalk recruits. Not sure what Diamond is waiting on, though.
There is a gap between your i and c in your Michigan hyperlink.
I'd love to trust what that guy says but he quotes his "insider information" so much that I feel like he just says it to mask the fact that he has no insider information
Yeah, and this "rumour" doesn't take a huge leap to come to the conclusion that it could very well be true. Not indicative of any insider knowledge, it's just reality.
I'll give him credit if Andrus Peat commits to Michigan before his senior season, another one of his exclusive rumours. Until then, I have trouble putting any faith in a site that looks very Bleacher Report-ish
It sucks, but as you said it's not like they are having problems recruiting OL. It would be great, however; to have that possibility of him coming here if Kalis decided to stay in Ohio. Did anyone catch the chatsports.com rumors page posted a few hours ago? I will not put anything on here to start any anticipations, but it is something worth reading about Kalis, Wormley and Wilson.
Here is my positive spin on this:
What if coaches told him, if Bars doesn't pick us, we'll extend you an offer. That implies that the coaches essentially have their other 2 spots filled with, presumably, Kalis and Diamond.
The good spin is based on the fact that Seumalo decided the day after Bars. So basically, once Bars committed, there was no room - hence our OL class is full.
this is why i laugh at rankings. Bars has offers from lsu, psu, florida, while seumalo has oregon, oregon state, and stanford, yet seumalo is ranked higher on all sites i believe. Wish him the best of luck, but i am confident that all of the coaches have more of an idea of skill than these so-called experts.
would have made a great Guard. I had visions of Banner Garnett and Seumalo Magnuson once upon a time... Him and Kalis could have been a mighty interior duo as well. Great for Oregon State, it says something that he chose them over Oregon. Funny, he's 6'3" and Rivals lists him as an Offensive Tackle. Sometimes I just don't trust their good judgement. :o)
Ace Williams said: " plus my charming personality are the reasons that Chat Sports hired me to cover Michigan football on a near-full time basis (I also cover other teams here and there).

His charming personality... lol.
If Kalis or Diamond go elsewhere, who is to say he doesn't get a late offer?
He could, but it should also be noted that his father is the DL coach at Oregon State so...
Good luck to the young guy. At least youll be competing in a conference with a cool logo and a name that accurately states its number of schools.
Hmmm well that's embarrassing. Anyway Oregon St. Has a really strong Pacific Islander community so it's not surprising he ended up there. Best of luck to him.
Oregon State seems like a perfect fit for him.
