Jay Harbaugh is the best. That man does everything given to him the best possible way. Hats off to the ST. They Ferentzed Kirk Ferentz. That is not easy to do. Kudos!!!!!

Great job, Jaybaugh. For multiple games this season special teams has been a real difference maker. That blocked punt set up a great drive with some spectacular plays.

I've said all year ST are the greatest strength of this team. Once again, lights out.

That big punt by Robbins when we needed to get out of the hole. The magnificent punt block.

Ok, Henning fair caught a ball on the 3. At least he caught the damn ball tonight. And sheesh, Iowa's punt returner kept running the wrong way!

Solid, explosive, winning ST's all year. Well done.

Iowa had 3 guys around the punt the 7.  Michigan has probably scouted Iowa enough to know that letting that hit the turf is most likely gonna result in them starting inside the 5.  This was an opponent specific coaching decision and since they have been on fire for 2 weeks with everything they've done I'm gonna go ahead and defer to their decision not yours.

*I'm pretty sure it was the PSU game where Taylor pinned them inside the 3 yard line on multiple occasions.  That guy is good.

I can buy this for punts between the 5 and 10, maybe.  For the punt he caught at the three, sorry, no.  You don’t catch that punt (just like OSU’s returner shouldn’t have caught the punt on the 3 last week).  Let Iowa’s players show that they can make a play.  One bad bounce and it’s a touchback. Basically, the worst thing that could happen is that you lose two more yards.  The best thing that could happen is that you gain 17.  You have to be 90% sure that the ball will stay out of the end zone before it makes any sense to catch that punt.

Outdid the special teams specialists.  The long punt with the lucky roll, followed by the punt block to leave no doubt who the best team in all phases was today.

The rule for punt returners used to be "Put your heels on the 10-yard line and NEVER back up. If it goes over your head, let it go." Not sure whatever happened to that (seems to be broken all the time these days) but other than that, well done!

They did it again with another blocked punt. Excellent down field punt coverage. Just part of the complete team that Michigan has become this season.

After hearing and reading all week about how great Iowa’s special teams were (today’s highlight, a missed FG from, what, 38 yards?), it was very satisfying to see us get the big play on special teams.  I will acknowledge that their punter is pretty fucking good, but we still broke the back of their punk-ass field position strategy.
