I counter with:
"Well, if you're smart enough to get into Michigan, then you are easily smart enough to choose Michigan over East Lansing Community College - I mean State. But, by saying you chose State you are proving you are not smart enough to make that decision, and are thus not smart enough to get into Michigan."
I have yet to hear a well-thought retort. Which only serves to strengthen my point.

Man those posts are horrible. I actually tried to get into the RCMB community a bit when I was at MSU, and after two or three days I just lost all faith in humanity and stopped reading. I understand that this game means more to them than virtually any other game this year, but at some point you just need to sit back and enjoy what happens. Getting too worked up over it just makes you look childish and suffering from an inferiority complex.

If we started using MSUcks, I think we'd probably get sick of it faster than they would. I'm actually impressed by their ability to keep something like that going for so long. In the same vein, I actually kinda like the TSUN designation from the OSU faithful. It's just the right mix of defiance and respect. A tip of the hat to whoever started that one.

my facebook news feed is filled with my friends from MSU saying things like "i really could care less about this season - just beat michigan and i'll be happy if we lose every other game" sigh . . .

.....I think it would be fun to invade RCMB with one post. It would be even more fun if a lot of UM fans did the same. I plan on telling them how great it is that we won't have to "listen" to 24/7/365 of constant yapping this year, and to congratulate them on their "resurgence." I am currently trying to figure out how to dumb down standard writing so that they will actually understand it.

Can we please stop posting links to MSU sites on here. As hard as I try not to, I end up clicking on it and feel like I have lost 10 points off my IQ when I am finished reading their garbage.

I've seen old school RCMB guys over there with 5000+ posts, who obviously bleed green and white, try to get the community to "get over our obsession with Michigan". These are supposedly well respected members, who repeatedly make good arguments about how focusing so much on Michigan is actually holding their program back. Essentially saying "All I care about is MSU football, lets fix our own house." They get crucified. scUM lover, troll, physical threats, you name it, these intelligent posters who want nothing but the best for MSU football, and dare to hold up a mirror on their program are vilified, and I'm sure some leave for good. Would a post like that get a few -1s around here? Sure, but cooler heads inevitably prevail, and honest opinions backed up with facts usually win the day. Doctor Worm (If I remember correctly) mentioned in another post that he AND his "UM friends" think that RCMB and this blog are the same. I pity that ignorance.

...to tar all MSU students and alumni with the RCMB brush. By doing so you are perpetuating the stereotype of UM fans as elitist snobs. Rational MSU fans steer clear of the RCMB, they go to places like The Only Colors.

The funniest thing that I have noticed on these RCMB threads is that the epithet of "Michigan Lover" or something similar is often hurled around at those who dare to acknowledge that Michigan is on the rise, or that they have historically been superior. Such an inferiority complex. It is hilarious.

It wasn't funny or original the first 10 times it was used, and the next 5.7 billion it won't be either. They've been reduced to saying things like "scUM" because they know that they're inferior and any insult they throw out there that attempts at any sort of reasoning has more holes in it than their secondary has had all season.
