I'll Say It, He Needs To Be Fired

Submitted by KRK on
Ty Willingham needs to go. I mean, he lost to WSU and they are God-Fucking-Awful. If he doesn't get fired, I swear I'll storm the UW AD's office. Oh...my bad. He was fired weeks ago. Remember, it can ALWAYS get worse.

You know, I feel marginally better after seeing Michigan State get killed about as bad as we did, seeing Notre Dame self destruct, seeing Oregon State win and keep their Rose Bowl dreams alive, and now seeing the absolute destruction of Tech. Oh, how I hate Texas Tech. Oklahoma's teaching em how to run up the score now. EDIT - Let me emphasize marginally :/

Tom, if ever there was a game where a team will be the victim of style points, it will be ND. USC wants a BCS game outside of the Rose Bowl and play Texas or Oklahoma, or a top SEC team. Putting up 50+ and giving Charlie the beatdown of a lifetime might be the only way to get that game. I can't believe I'm saying this, but...GO Trojans.

Speaking of the world's largest mammal...how does he still have a job? He's done less than nothing with HIS recruits and he only managed to get embarrassed in a bowl game with Willingham's recruits... If memory serves, he had a record on par with Willingham through three years and he's clearly made no step forward this year and I think its become apparent that Jimmah Clausen is either a fraud or Charlie Weiss can't coach him up.

Actually, Jimmah throws a really nice pass. The problem is that he falls apart under pressure and doesn't trust his line at all. This is a coaching/team development dynamic. Weis does blow at coaching, and Jimmah has a horrible attitude (see showing up to ND in a stretch hummer and flashing his stupid HS champ rings) but he's got a shit ton of talent now that his arm/shoulder is fixed and he can throw the ball with zip.

that was sort of my point though, i didn't know about the attitude issues, but I did know that anything that is coachable: poise, trusting teammates, reading a defense he is absolutely horrid at. statistically speaking he's made just about no progress at all.

Can we please stop talking all kinds of shit about Notre Dame until we aren't an abomination as well? Last I checked we lost to them this year and Weis is 1-0 against Rodriguez. And can we please stop mocking Weis for being a bad coach when Rodriguez has just produced the shittiest season in Michigan's history. One minute we slam Weis and then go on to call RR the greatest thing since sliced bread? We're awful, we have no right to talk about anyone else until we become good; let's not turn into Michigan State here.

Doesn't matter if it's his first or fifth or tenth. We're terrible, we have no right to talk smack to anyone. And we lost to them. You can try and jusify it anyway you want, doesn't change a thing. When Rodriguez actually does something positive, like win 9 or 10 games and goes to a BCS bowl or something, then you can run your mouth off all you want. He hasn't proven anything yet, so...don't run your mouth off about other teams/coaches. Don't get it twisted, I think Rodriguez will be successful, I just don't see the logic in tearing down anyone else at this point. We have enough problems as is, let ND worry about theirs.

Agree with SpartyNo 100%. And is it really in Michigan's best interest that ND get smacked by USC? I guess we have no interest, but really? USC? Hate to say it but I'd rather see ND pull off an upset. ND is big ten light (if that's possible) and a rival. The better their program is, the better our rivalry is. I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy...

Yea, we are terrible. But its our coaches' first year. He has roughly 1% of "his" players. Last year in year 3 of the Charlie Weiss abortion where he presumably would have many of "his guys" starting he was as bad as we are now. if R Squared is this bad in three years then we have no place to talk. He didn't do a good job this year, but he also had to deal with a lot more than Weiss has in any year he's been there.

You have got to be kidding me! That's all we need right now. Another fucking moron spewing "rabble, rabble, rabble, junk offense!, rabble, didn't adapt!, rabble, not a Michigan Man!, rabble, ..." ...oh...oooooohhhh... You are a cheeky bugger, aren't you?!?

I really hope Notre Dame doesn't fire Weis. I don't want them anywhere near Brian Kelly. Frankly, thinking about what he'd do with annual Top 5 Notre Dame recruiting classes is just scary.
