Ok, I never paid a whole lot of attention to recruiting or the spring game; until I started reading this board a bit too religiously for my own good. So I got to thinking - how does the spring game work?
Is it like 1st team O and D vs. 2nd team O and D? Are the offense and defense comprised of elements of 1st team and 2nd team? Seems you'd want to evaluate them as a unit - maybe 1st team offense vs. 1st team defense, and 2nd team O vs. 2nd team D?
EDIT: Hooboy... I googled 'spring game' before I asked and got some generic 'It's a scrimmage.' I also went to wikipedia. I'd imagine every school does something different. So it's not that I didn't look. I was looking for an overarching strategy for the game itself - thought I might get something like that from those of you who had been or seen.
And I'm not looking for a schedule of events - I'm a bit too far away to attend, and I know I could most easily find that. So, well, thanks!
