Hello: Sean Mckeon ('16 TE)
247 reporting that Sean McKeon has committed to Michigan.
Also per his Twitter:

Welcome to the family...
All of your 3 starz belong to us.
6'5 230 good HS size for a TE that's for sure.
64th TE to 247, 2nd in Harbaugh's heart - Upshur you're up...

p.s. the bolt from 247 says he is a very good athlete so this is a plus....means he could be converted to something else if TE doesnt work out.
...holding the fastest verified 40-time of any tight end in the country at 4.65 and also the highest vertical jump (36.2 inches).

Offers from Harvard, Columbia, Yale--and I think Brown was recruiting him also.
This picture depicts my elation at 1) getting yet another commit and 2) being able to post on the site at all.
Welcome, Sean!
It's pretty clear that, at this point, the folks on this site and beyond who cover Michigan and Michigan recruiting are probably well on their way to carpal tunnel if they have not gotten to this point already. That or they've been driven screaming into the night having to write or revise numerous "Hello" posts. All good news so far, it seems, but it isn't easy to keep up.
Still, welcome to Michigan, Sean McKeon!
Looks like he lacks burst/speed for DE. Will probably stick at TE in my opinion. Calling all Magnus and SC to give more info/confirm I don't know what I'm talking about!

- Good hands
- Good route runner
- Blocks well (pad level, y'know)
Sorry, the smart-ass in me couldn't let this softball pass ;)
I think of the 4 under the radar guys (forgetting the immediate bump our LB commit got the second he commited) this one and the LB make the most sense from an athletic sense of point. You can take guys who are raw and have the athleticism and mold them in the coming year. Our not so fast CB and uhh... well 5.23 DE ... I don't get those offers in June. If we are going to offer a low ranked CB I'd rather have found a track athlete type who needs coaching. And just because a guy is a 3-4 DE doesnt mean he has to be running over a 5.0.
That said for some reason we really have trouble with getting a lot of prime time DEs in here - dont know what the deal is here. MSU landed two top 100 guys at DE from out of state and we're hoping for 2/3 stars and Kareem who is near to 200 and in the state so we have an advantage. OSU is getting guys like Bosa.
Don't expect it to end now - Michigan is holding its on-campus summer camp!
I have seen him play and though the competition is lacking, he is an excellent athelete and a very smart kid. If he were playing in a more competitive league he would be 4*, if that matters.
The speed figure is legit as he is the fast kid on the field everygame and out runs RBs and WRs.

What difference? When Rich Rod took 3 stars from the south everybody said 3 stars from the south are like 4 stars from the north. Just like many are doing now with Harbaugh.
Well, one difference appears to be that Harbaugh ain't recruitin' no dummies.

I don't understand taking this commitment when you have the 4th-ranked TE in the nation showing you such strong interest.
They'll take him, too.

If those numbers are real then this committ seems like the least leap of faith of our unknown committs. For context, he would have tied Eric Ebron for second at the 2014 NFL combine for tight ends for the 40. And his 36 inch vertical would have also put him second.
So either these numbers get him all sorts of fakes or Harbaugh just found the 2019 first tight end on the board.
