Have you found this gold mine sports site?

Submitted by Blueverine on

After reading an article on Sports Business Daily, I checked out The Players Tribune. It's a site with content "written" by athletes to communicate directly to fans.  Won't go into the business model stuff, but it's CHOCK FULL of articles "penned" by Michigan athletes.  Just read two great articles from Jake R. and Jabril and there are a lot more that I haven't read yet.

I use the quotation marks because the articles are written with help by real writers, but the stories are cool. Learned a couple things I didn't know like how Harbaugh uses the analogy of channel surfing to go through a QB's progression.

This site will be bookmarked in my browser.

True story/... I know a recoring engineer who was hired to produced her demos back when she was 15.  Towards the end of the session someone cut out some blow and old Swifty was right there partaking with the straw.

It's a great site, but it's been linked on the mgoboard a bunch of times. Be prepared for lots of snarky responses.

The Rudock piece was awesome.

If Blueverine is bookmarking it, it must be valuable.

I would say that the majority of daily readers of this site are familiar with The Player's Tribune.

I'm more of a Player's Baller though

Hey, guys. I just came across this site called http://mgoblog.com

Have you heard of it? It's owned by this guy named Brian Cook and he posts awesome information about mainly Michigan football, but also basketball and hockey. There are other authors, too. There is also an option for readers to post threads on the MGoBoard. I will definitely bookmark that site.
