Hate week is official. (Dont be fairweather)
We can sit here and bitch about coaches, players, youth of the team, the fans who will be attending (THE GAME), or those who have already made a decision to not show up. The truth is life does continue. This is a week in which anything can happen. I have watched Ohio play every week this year. When I compare Michigan to Ohio I dont look at just stats, scores, I observe how they react to adversity. Last week vs Illinois on the road they let off the gas and allowed Illinois to climb back into the game. I watch there defense allow over 400 yards today and last week. This team has lacked in the defensive department since the beginning of the year. There secondary is suspect and if attacked correctly it can be exposed.
Now i am not going to sit here and quit on the team, or sell my tickets because im pissed off at the staff, or players. I am going to go and support the team from beginning to end. Many of us will never know what it is like to be the players, and we will never feel what they feel after a defeat like today, but I can gurantee this week they will be alive and ready. I think we as fans owe it to watch the game and have faith that anything is possible and cheer on the team, rather it be from your couch, or in the stadium. Do your best to realize that these kids and the coaches will work hard to go out and win for the seniors and for Michigan. No matter how you feel remember that what you say on the web, or in public is usually recorded, or may be perceived as negative by the players, and recruits. So as you pass your judgement remember that these players can hear you and it does have an affect on them mentally no matter what anyone says. I think we as fans need to show as much support as we can this week as this team prepares for THE GAME.
GO BLUE!

urban meyer wasn't even off the field yet today and was talking about the rivalry game next week. they're going to be fired up and looking to make a statement.
while it would only be right, proper, and good for his first loss as osu coach to come against michigan, they get to prepare to pummel us while our offensive coaching staff is still trying to figure out how to make the ball move forward.

You're making me want to buy tickets and drive up for the game. Go Blue!

Yes they let up 400 yards to Indiana yet Indiana was never in the game. It was 42-0 early in the 4th.
I would love nothing more than upsetting Ohio. One of my fondest football memories was the year Biakabatuka ran for 300+ against Ohio, when earlier in the week people were saying there was no way Michigan was going to win.
I have very low expectations for next Saturday.

I will admit that I wear the "Worst State Ever" shirt only sparingly, but I am going to get the blue-on-maize version (I have the maize-on-blue one now) and rotate them throughout the week for this particular week. Even if the possibility of a Michigan win seems somewhat bleak by most predictive models, I could never say never here - anything is possible, after all. Go Blue, fellow Wolverines.

Okay, disappointment over Iowa set aside.
I turn my focus to Ohio State.
I hate Ohio State. I was just starting my Michigan fandom in 1973 when the 10-10 tie occurred and OSU went to the Rose Bowl rather than Michigan.
Then Michigan lost to OSU in 1974. And 1975.
Then Michigan beat those lousy rat bastards 22 to 0 and I was happy.
Now that Ohio State has their unbeaten streak going they've become insufferable rat bastards.
How sweet it would be for Michigan to pull out a victory ... ruin their damn unbeaten season ... crush any pathetic hopes they have for a national championship ... and send them to some consolation bowl.
I hate their livers and guts.

So mattison????? Hmmmmm. Wouldnt give his ass up for anyone. We need a Qb coach who is co-Ocoord that calls the plays Al draws up. I like the plays, its just the way he calls the plays and the timing.

Now Borges...

Ohio St has a better football team. But I would rather be a Michigan grad and lose 20 straight to them than be affiliated with that bogus institution. It's not really much of a rivalry on the field these days. But it's never been a rivalry in any other respect. We are better.

we definitely arent lacking in recruiting???? Last year we had the number 5 class and the year before was 15th according to rivals. This years class is small and should be top 10. Dont drop the AARP joke on us dawg. Mattison is a far better coordinator than fickle who Urban is trying to find a diferent job, so that he doenst look like an ass for firing him. Fickle is our Borges.

What do you expect man, love and respect? I'll remind you: this is a Michigan blog. If you want hugs and kisses then I suggest you stay on 11 Warriors.

We spend every week watching games and then dissecting the games. We are realistic about what's going on. We've been calling for Borges' head since the Akron game. It's a general consensus now. A lot of rational people recognize that Hoke's off-season decisions will determine his future, not the outcome of this season in particular, but my point remains the same. So assuming that we aren't fully aware of what's going on is naive, and that's the kindest word I can muster.
And for the record, I always post from my phone. Turns out, it is possible to be grammatically correct using a mobile device.

Please don't ever drop the "ohio" schtick. It will be a comical reminder of the Hoke era after he's canned in a year or two.

OHIO, OHIo, OHIO. Cant wait to hear you guys spelling that awesome shit in our stadium. I also cannot wait for it to be spelled in the Rose Bowl and not the actual naty title game that you will be left out of one way or another. The Big sucks and we need another year. Whats awesome is you could have had a title last year if it werent for tat gate. This year youll come up short because the media hates your schedule. Next year you lose that great Oline and it wont be so great. You will lose tress players and Urban will be left to prove he can do it with his own recruits. Remember he won big at florida with Zook recruits early on. He fell quickly as he lost assistants and Zook players left. We will see how things shake out. I wish you the best. Good luck against Stanford in the visio bowl.

Why do you call yourselves The Ohio State? Is there another Ohio State?

Will Kyle Kalis be playing this weekend or be riding the bench? I don't know if he will be in our not. He told us that there will be blood on the field and it won't be his. Quote it. Just wanna make he is on the field next week to eat his words.
With that said, I'm curious what things does UM do for hate week outside of the blood drive for the week. Could someone fill me in? TIA.

oh, wait no I won't, I'll be likely shopping with my girlfriend, and her 5 bitchy and ugly sisters.
God I hate my life.
But I hate Ohio more.

It's hard to really get into the spirt of Hate Week when there are threads on mgooard unfavorably comparing Hoke to Charlie Weis. Seriously, it's more like Pity Week at this point. Step it up.

No, our D will not keep us in it. Braxton Miller's brain is our only hope to keeping this respectable. If he malfunctions enough, we might be able to hang around. That said, I'm expecting Carlos Hyde to get about 30 carries, and how many yards those go for will determine the ugliness level of this game. If OSU is smart, Miller puts the ball in the air considerably less than 20 times, and most of those will probably go to blitheringly wide open tight ends.
