Has there ever been a winner take all series?

All this talk of home-and-home contracts and revenue splitting brought this question up in my mind. Have any BCS teams played in a winner take all (revenue wise) home-and-home series ?

or you lose, lose millions and probably have to announce the cancellation of half the non-revenue sports seasons. I can't imagine why any AD would pass that up.

I don't think it's a stupid question at all. Crazy, maybe, but those are the best kind. Can't you be 99% certain you know the answer and still ask? To be stupid, it would have to be uninteresting no matter what the answer is. ex. what color is that car, or how do I tie my shoes again?

Sounds like too much pressure to put on the athletes. Yeah guys if you lose this game, we aren't going to have any money for X number of other sports, and we won't be able to upgrade the workout room either.

could be interesting. You have to win on the road to bring it back home. Revenue could be split evenly regardless, and it would add a little heat to the rivalry.

When RR has 4 NC titles and 8 consecutive B10 titles under his belt and has taken over from sailboat Bill as AD+HC, I see this as a serious possibility. I can totally see him telling ND, "All right bitches, put your money where your mouth is."
