Harbaugh - Best Turnaround CEO In America?

This is a great read out of the WSJ about Harbaugh's proclivity with turning around football teams. They laud his leadership traits, and laugh-off his eccentricities. We've been fortunate to have him.

And, I got a shout out early in the article!

In the article, a professor they interviewed said his leadership approach should be studied in business schools.

While I agree with the professors assessment of Coach’s excellence in management, an authentic person like Harbaugh is few and fair between in the corporate world

Probably yes, but if he stays he could also ensure LEGEND status and grow the largest coaching tree in college football, kind of like Bo did.

They didn't even mention his first head coaching job: University of San Diego. He took over in 2004 and they won the last 5 games of that season. In 2005 and 2006 they had the best record (11-1) the school has ever had, before or since. He left for Stanford after 2006.

What shouldn't be glossed over is the 2020 season and how a majority of Michigan fans wanted him gone.

Beating OSU is a thing.

The Michigan job is significantly more stressful than any NFL job if you aren't beating OSU.
