No Devin Gardner or ?? What was the other guys name that also really sucked ?? Damn, cant remember. Maybe Brady can attend, looks like he will have the extra time. He can talk to the recruits about what it means to be Michigan Men, and remind them that back when their dad was a kid UM was really good etc.....that's a bunch of hot air I know, but air is Brady's thing ya know, or is it a lack of ? Can't remember again. If recruits want to see a bunch of super star, top of the line QB's they don't need to go to UM's dog and pony show, they just need to schedule a official visit to Ohio State.

Im a Bears fan. And as such, I do NOT get why bears fans dislike Jay Cutler. Do they/we remember who USED to QB the bears? It's like your buddy who's always dated 2s and 3s finds a 7 who he dates for a while and thinks "I can do better". No. You cant. There aren't QB-10s out there who will come to Chicago, the records that Cutler has broken are from the 40s (!!!).

/end mini rant

There are maybe 5 great QB's in the league, a lot of pretty good ones, and the rest.  Sure, you don't have a hall of famer, but he's a good quarterback.  But, it's Chicago/a big market, so they deserve Andrew Luck.

But then don't pay your average guy like he's one of the great ones.  Either get a great one, or get a cheap one so you can build a great team around him.  A big reason the Seahawks and Ravens won their recent Super Bowls was because they had cheap QBs.

Now - that's easier said than done.  Both of those guys were playing above their salary.  But those are the only formulas that work.  Get a great QB and pay him a lot or pay your QB a little.  If you have a not-great QB who gets paid a lot, it's unlikely your team will win much.

Ravens had Flacco under a contract that held him in the "OK" area.  Then he won a Superbowl and signed big.  I'll give you that one (and his agent a lot more, jeez)  However, Wilson was still under his rookie contract, which was a 4 year 3 million dollar contract.  Not a great comparison.

I'm of the exact same thinking as you.  I'm a huge Bears fan and I'll take Cutler over the past 15 years of QB play any day.  Cutler has all the tools, I notice he forces things when the team gets behind due to bad line play, bad defense, etc, and he tries to let his physical tools / gun-slinging take over and that's when he gets in trouble.  Here's hoping Gase / Fox / Pace has put enough pieces in place and can coach him and the other players up enough to help him.

The polarity of the Cutler debate is very strong. I don't get why some Bears fans DO like Cutler. Those of us dissatisfied with him aren't comparing him to former Bear QBs. We're comparing him to ten other current NFL QBs that are better and get paid about the same or less. The Bears paid way too much for a guy that thinks he can just wing it on raw talent.

No polo, but...you didn't hear about that emergency legislation passed today? Any coach hosting a QB camp is guilty of a felony one, will have their citizenship revoked and will serve a life sentence at the North Pole. Any school employing that coach will face a billion dollar fine and Charlie Weis will be appointed to the head coaching position to ensure future compliance.

We're all completely screwed.

Well, contrary to the popular narrative, looks like plenty of people like Jim Harbaugh. And enough to take time out of their busy lives to fly to Ann Arbor and help put on a camp for a bunch of high school kids.
