Great Session by Klatt on Breaking the Huddle!

I hate myself for thinking that Urban is the most interesting person to listen to on any of the Saturday morning pre-game shows.
I instinctively turned the channel whenever he was on last year, but after seeing his segments a couple times I found that what he talks about is way better than the fluff and non-sense that make up most of those shows.

Plus, I much prefer him in the booth as an analyst than on the OSU sideline.

I despise everything about Meyer but he is a great communicator.

Urban said that this Michigan team looked better to him than our 2016 team. He also really liked Milton and said Gattis called a hell of a game. It's good praise from someone who knows.

Listening to Urban break down film gives you insight into his ability to understand the game within the game but he also comes across as a guy with an ability to simplify and effectively teach his message.

This is Tom Crean. His year as an ESPN bball analyst was filled with outstanding analysis that was delivered well and broken down to it's simplest elements.

That 2016 Michigan team was also better than his 2016 Ohio State team, too, lest we forget.

I've always liked his analysis and thought he was a good coach and smart. I've never liked how the talks about UM and refuse to give him clicks. He is the worst thing to happen to UM in the last 30 years.

Urban also avoids the obvious homer cheap shots or low blows with his analysis. Dude was sketch as hell at OSU and hid some shady shit, but he and klatt are def tolerable to listen to.

This, for me, was just Joel's top 10. What am I missing?

The link goes to Klatt's Top Ten. Do you have a link to the breakdown with Urban?

Sorry this is the whole 22 minutes

Thanks. The Michigan segment starts around 6:45 and goes to about 8:45.
Edit: there's another Michigan segment (without Urban) from 11:45 to 18:30.

Yes this a good link to the whole 22 minutes. The last portion is worth watching.

Urban is good but Klatt went into way more depth on his own.
Klatt's key takeaway from game 1 is that Michigan is an under the radar contender at #8 due to:
- Milton has a very high ceiling and is perfect fit for Gattis offense
- Super arm strength and good accuracy
- Big body for poise in the pocket and designed QB runs
- Elite pass rush from the DL and LBs
- Old school Harbaugh power run game with tone set by Ben Mason
He thinks all three qualities are sustainable during the season and, if so, Michigan is on the rise in his rankings.

Solid summery thanks

Klatt says this may be Harbaugh’s best team. He really focused on the offense and power running with pulling guards, tackles, and Mason. Add in a QB that can run and throw and provide RPOs and misdirection and this should be fun to watch.
We shall see 2016 was damn good but in this era you need points on the board.
I keep thinking about how much Ambry and Nico would add to critical needs.

From the thread title I thought Klatt was goi g to discuss the intricacies of how teams actually, you know, break the huddle.
I'm sometimes dim.

This offense is definitely turning some heads, I think MSU will also have to turn their heads watching it go the other direction
