Gers v Bucknut BBall game

Well, Gers is for real.   They looked very good until the B1G refs decided to take over.  Probably the worst officiated game of the year.   Gers big guy fouls out while just standing still with his hands straight up in the air.  Meanwhile,  OSU hacks every time Gers drives the lane and almost never gets called.    I can't believe how bad B1G can be.

I know this would never happen, but that’s the kind of ref jobbing that if I were a coach would cause me to take an iPad to the press conference and go through in detail pointing out all the inconsistent calls and calling out the refs who call or didn’t call them by name. Pikiell should have taken the tech earlier, honestly.

I watched about half of this game on and off.  The difference in the game wasn't the refs (fouls were evenly split).  It's that Rutgers only really goes 6-7 players deep.  When you don't ever go to your bench you will eventually get yourself into foul trouble.

Rutgers started off hot and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the second half.  Ron Harper Jr. is a great player, but just stopped scoring, especially when their PG got hurt after an awkward landing on a drive to the basket.

Rutgers starting five is solid though.

Evenly split fouls = Good officiating???  The fouls called on Rutgers (particularly on their center) were total BS. The center got his 4th foul for a moving screen when he was completely stationary and then got fouled out standing straight up with his arms and hands vertical --- there was no contact. Meanwhile on key possessions no call for clear fouls on OSU. I had no rooting interest in this game, but was amazed by how inept the officiating was. Total shit show and it decided the game.
