Who cares what a women's basketball coach has to say about men's basketball? I sure don't. Women's basketball is way more boring at the collegiate level. 3 or 4 teams win it every year and the best teams blow out the others by 20+ points a good portion of the time. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz

are out in force! Nobody expects brains or progressivism from football yahoos, but I must say. . . I do yearn for the days when you could assume that a Michigan fan might show you a bit more enlightened thinking than, say, a Vols fan. Nyet.

This thread is about to turn into "let's all crap on women's basketball" since a WBB coach said something stupid.

Never understood the 10 foot rim for women. I guess they just didnt want to force high schools and colleges into paying for adjustable backboards. But imagine their game with 9 foot rims -- even 8 foot 8 or so -- lots more scoring and action, tons of dunks and pins against the backboard, etc.

good luck selling that to the pc/feminist crowd...i think u'd get something along the lines of "oh, so women are inferior to men therefore we need to make it easier for them??!", no matter how good your intensions are, someone will take offense to it in 2015

Except what he's hinting at is true.

Sorry biology, anatomy, physiology and evolution all prove men ARE superior to women when it comes to physical prowess.

Said crowd doesn't want to believe it b/c somehow it comes off as misogynist to them.

get into arguments with my ex all the time about this. She once told me that her high school girl's team (she was teaching at Country Day at the time) who won the state championship that year, could beat me and four of my friends in a basketball game. It was hard for to me to continue the discussion because I was laughing so hard.

That being said, could me and 4 of my friends beat a Women's NCAA Divison 1 Tournament team....probably not. I definitely wouldn't want to go up against any team in the Final Four that is for sure. Matter of fact, it would be an honor to even play with athletes of that stature, men or women. I'd be proud to say that I got my butt kicked, no reason to not give credit where it is due!

a small pg going high off the glass with a 6 ft 8 POY bearing down is sure awful.

It's like you trying to lay it up with Howard or Gobert d'ing up - except there is no way in hell you'd even get it to kiss the glass.

But hey, awful...

the one thing i really can't stand about women's sports is all the screaming they do...maybe it's because the place is empty that it echos so much, but my goodness they are screaming the entire game.

We can crap on women's college basketball bc I think I can start for a women's college basketball team. I'm not a great athlete but I'm more athletic than what I see in most women's games. I'm also not great at basketball. Not saying I could start at Uconn but probably could at some of those schools that aren't that great.

Well, he is correct when he states how far behind the times college basketball is, just not right on the reasons why. Timeouts in college bball are absurd.
