GameDay heading to Columbus

Via Rittenberg. This pretty much guarantees they won't head there for The Game. Honestly, how does a matchup with neckbeard-led Penn State garner more interest than the biggest rivalry in sports?

The dumbed down viewing public loves a good neckbeard walk on story and the old man is always entertaining.

ESPN loves ColumbASS

every Ohio State fan would disagree with you.

Not that many big games.
Arz v Usc?

Pretty much an SEC East title game, or this year, "who's going to get blown out by Auburn?"
But like you said, there isn't a whole lot else out there, whereas the weekend of Michigan-Ohio State, you've got your pick of big rivalry games. That's one drawback of the bye week - the Michigan-Ohio State game is still the premier game of the weekend, but there are a ton of other big time games over Thanksgiving Weekend.

The week of THE GAME also features Oregon-Zona and Auburn-Bama

Herbstreit, YOUR JOB INCLUDES TRAVEL. And OSU is not the story this year. Man up.

I don't think Herbstreit is the one calling the shots.

Believe it. You really think it's a coincidence they're in Columbus at least three times in any given two-season span?

lovefest is getting seriously old.

I couldn't agree more.

err McGloin.....
But some of you are right, Herbie must have demanded it..Guy is a major prima donna...you should hear stories about his interaction with charity events...refuses to play with corporate sponsors....makes the even allow his entourage to show up and play all comped....

where else should they go?
Florida v. USC? that is the only reasonable choice outside of OSU/PSU.
I doubt ESPN is catering to the demands of the 4th most famous person on Gameday.
There is no way they are coming up for "the game" because the Iron Bowl is the same day and has national title game implications.
SEC, national title, stolen laptops, rivalry, illegal benefits, nick saban and ESPN?
that's a no-brainer.

Given that the Game is on the road this year, what's the difference?
