I'm wondering about this too. I'm looking at possibly making the trip from Austin.

Tickets seem to be here: http://www.ticketcity.com/college-hockey-tickets/ncaa-frozen-four-tickets/ncaa-mens-frozen-four-all-sessions-tickets-xcel-energy-center-april-7-tba.html
That's all I've got so far.

$207?
Thanks, but that's 1/4 of a credit at Michigan.
[Gotta be cheaper somewhere?]

Usually the best method are scalpers. In past years tix are cheap on the street. However umd making it changes things. I may secured on ticket but I need to find another for my wife.

I think i am gonna wait to make sure we win the semis against denver or No dak
we win that tickets should open up a bit
then get mine and go to the title game
i think thats what im gonna do
when it was at ford field it was dirt cheap last year
heck these are more expensive then rose bowl tickets

Specialized market. The NCAA can charge what they want because hardcore fans will pay whatever it takes to see their teams in the Frozen Four.
I wouldn't use the scalping market at ford field as a benchmark, considering the seating capacity at ford field was double what it is at the excel energy center.
If that's your game plan, you should look into having a friend that is at the semifinals buy you tickets for the finals from fans of the team that just lost. Since I imagine they'll give UMD the late game, we'll probably be in the early game. So presuming we win, your friend will have the option of getting tickets from fans of the team we beat, or they could stick around and get tickets from the fans of the team that loses the late game.

I live in Minneapolis. I am definitely getting tickets, hopefully from my firm.
Since UM-Duluth made it, and assuming NoDak makes it, there will be a lot of fans from those schools looking for tickets, too. Fair deals might be scarce.
Face value for three games is probably around 160 if the frozen four in denver or detroit was any indication. So 207 or 240 for an all session is a good price.
I have 2 tix... got mine through the NCAA. When ordering them in the offseason, you can only purchase the whole strip. I have 2 seats in section 224, row 6, seats 1 and 2.
NoDak fans travel extremely well. They were the majority in Denver a few years ago. I cannot make the trip and would prefer the tix go to a Michigan fan.
Please let me know if interested... and yeah, the prices you're seeing aren't as outrageous as one would think. I don't have my credit card bill from last year and the face value is NOT on the tix, but I remember them being around $200 per.

if you still got the tickets, i am interested

I do.
I don't see a PM feature on the board. If you want, email me mgoblue0970 at msn dot com.

My buddy and I were able to buy tickets for less than face value right around gametime (semi's vs. Minnesota). This shocked me because the Xcel was new at the time, and the Gophers were in the frozen four for the first time in a while (I think), and were basically playing a home game.

Here is my advice... First go to Hotwire and book your flight, hotel, and car together. It will be much cheaper than booking seperately. Second, root hard for North Dakota to lose today. If they make it, tickets will triple.
I have been to the Frozen Four at least 10 times. Here is what I have learned. Buy a ticket to the semi final games. At the end of the other game, go hang out at the back of the section of the losing team. You will be able to do two things, one, pick up their ticket for the final game cheap and two, possibly upgrade your seat for the first game for next too nothing.
Three years ago, I had a third level seat. We watched the first game from up there. As the first game was ending, I went down and offer the students on the glass $10 bucks for their ticket stub. That stub got me on the glass for our loss to ND. It sucked we lost, but I saw it from a great seat.
Wish I could afford to come this year, but have fun everyone, I will be watching from home in Texas.
