I’m fortunate and have power between two big yellow blobs on the DTE outage map. I feel for you SE Michiganders who are in the dark. ( I’ve climbed in a neighbors garage window at midnight w/ a 100’ ft cord to give my fridge an hour of juice a few times … never told (asked) her. Whats on your weekend docket?

No power scheduled until Saturday night, so planning on getting a cooler and ice along the way.

However, I'm still looking forward to the start of the EPL on Sunday!

Go Blue!! We only lost power for a few hours here in Jackson north of town so that's been nice. I only work three days next week then have almost a week and a half off of work. I have a backpacking trip with a buddy and taking the family up north so it should be a good way to wrap up summer break before the kids go back to school. Oh and I hear there might be some football played in a couple weeks?!!

Incredibly fortunate to have power here. We usually lose it 2-3 times per year. We can hear generators running in several directions from our yard.

Best wishes to those still without power and hats off to the line workers plugging away at fixing all this mess!

I spent much of my day yesterday in Farmington Hills patrolling some of these outages actually, so that's how I get to spent my time during all this. At home, like some others, my own circuit only has some scattered problems, although adjacent ones are totally out right now.

We're moving tomorrow into a new place and it got caught with the power outage. The updates were saying Monday at 3:30 AM, but got a text alert this morning saying power had been restored.

I've been without one leg of my service for a few days. Not nearly as bad as being completely without power, but it seems all the circuits on that leg were for important things so I have extension cords criss-crossing the house to power the fridge, freezer, and router/modem. The AC obviously needs both legs, so that's not working either.

Still, counting my blessings, a small window unit keeps the bedroom cool at night, and occasionally tripping over an extension cord is a small price to pay for refrigeration. Hopefully things will be back in the next few days, but I can see why they're prioritizing other issues.

Can't remember my expectations being this muted for an upcoming football season since Jimmy's first season.  Love the hard work and the attitude of the players, though.  I think Corum is going to be special.  Another weekend of trying to stay in the Lake or a pool as much as possible, and drip drying with a beer in hand when getting out.  Just a great feeling.

Luckily I still have power. Lost it for a few hours a month or so ago but that's been our only issue since we moved in ~1 year ago. I do have a generator so I could power a couple of the important things. Still need to get an electrician out to install a switch so I could power more full grids.

I think we lost it the night of the storms for a brief second since all the digital clocks in the house were flashing and had to be reset. But we never really "lost" power. This house never seems to really lose power, and the last house we lived in never lost power either. Weird, but I'll take it! Hopefully when we eventually move to house number 3 in the next few years it can continue the streak.

I don't know about anything else at this point but I know that I have a first date tonight with someone extraordinarily special and the circumstances that happened for it to come about are so ridiculous that I can't think it is anything but fate.  I've known her for 35 years (yeah I'm f'ing old) and recently reconnected in the most sublime way.

Hope everyone with power gets it back (last night for me) and enjoys the weekend. Go Blue!

We lost power on Wednesday around 3:30pm. Still no estimation from DTE when it will come back on. We seem to lose power anytime there is a storm.

On Wed., we drove over the Bluewater Bridge into Canada for the first time in 18 months.  We've received a warm welcome everywhere we've gone and it's been great to see our neighbors that were so helpful looking over things and fixing problems (alarm system melted down twice due to nearby lightning strikes) while we were stuck on the U.S. side of the border. It's great to be back at the beach house on Lake Huron.  We just hope to get the major cleaning finished today so we can just relax for the weekend.  The spiders were partying hard while we were gone!

I feel for everyone without power. I seem to lose it about 10 times/year. Sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for a couple of days. Longest was 2 weeks during Hurricane Gustav. One of the best changes I made was to AT&T Fiber. I can fire up my generator and still get internet and TV.

Hoping you all get it back soon.

I live outside of Cleveland (boo) so it wasn't that bead here and I never lost power (yay). In fact all it did was rain a bit. I know in Medina like 4 miles away there were trees down and branches down etc.

The Consumers "Power Rangers" restored my power Wednesday evening after a 22-hour outage. Lost power here shortly after sunset Tuesday.  Between the Tuesday and the Wednesday mid-day storm, there's still numerous areas here in northern Kent County without power.  Spectrum TV and internet then wasn't restored until just before noon yesterday.
