Reading to pass the time till the season finally starts!:
One thing that's remarkable about this image is that Brady has his eyes open.
That may seem obvious but notice how in nearly all images of athletes' acting exuberant NOT during the game, their eyes are closed. That's especially in shots of exultation after winning.
Contrast photographs of players during play: eyes wide open, because that's necessary. (Remember "Keep your eye on the ball"?)
Closed eyes are an instinctive action of the body, a kind of protection from revealing emotion. The eyes, after all, are windows to the soul, and few of us willingly share our soul with others.
But here Brady's eyes are wide open. Why? Because he's doing what we all do in normal life, when we're not shielding our emotions. He's trying to connect with other people—here to exhort them—by seeing them and letting them see him. See into him, into what matters to him at that moment.
What matters = Brady knows, it's WINNING THE GAME! Go Blue!

There is usually a point in August where I look at the football schedule and finally make note of the events that I specifically wish to avoid so I can attend / watch games, so these next months will occasionally be tense in my house, but somehow, we manage all the same.
