He was awesome - and I miss his calls but most especially when I listen to the current radio team (unfortunately).  Hope the movie is a fitting tribute of the man.

This is a disk I will buy.  Ufer is the basis of my love for Michigan - so many childhood memories imprinted with his voice.  My earliest memory of him is the Billie Taylor touchdown.  I only have spot recall from back that far, but that call, and some early video of Denny Franklin with Ufer on the radio (slightly out of sync) are etched in...

Thanks for the notice that this is out, now!

I was only a year old when he died.  But I can listen to his old broadcasts over and over and never get sick of them.  He still left us too soon.  He was only 61 when he died.

It was Nov 22,1969..They  came to bury Michigan,...All wrapped in Maize and Blue..The words were read ,the prayers were said and everybody cried but when they closed the coffin ,someone else was inside..Oh they came to bury Michigan but Michigan wasn't dead and when the game was over It was someone else instead..22 Michigan Wolverines put on their gloves of gray..And as Revelli played the Victors,They laid Woody Hayes away..... I will definitely be buying this disc. I was very young when Ufer died, but I know my parents - my mother in particular, being an alumna - would be glued to his radio call when they weren't at the game or no one was near a TV (assuming it was on).

I might have to buy this simply for

a- The Wangler to Carter call and

b- The Harry Oliver Call...I believe that was the last UM-ND game that was not televised...so it was all on Ufer and...damn...that whole game was full of epic Ufer calls

I remember Ufer’s call of the Oliver kick vividly. I was playing a game of touch football with friends and we had a transistor radio next to our “field”. As the game came down to this kick, we all hovered around the radio to hear the end. Ufer’s call of “end over end over end” still sticks in my mind.

I was, at a later date, blessed to meet Mr. Oliver (God rest his soul as well as Mr. Ufer’s). He signed an autograph for me ... “end over end over end” Harry Oliver.

Everything about that field goal is bullshit.  It was bullshit then, and its bullshit now.  Fuck you, Oliver - with a career long of 37 yards (or some other BS like that).  Fuck you, dead wind.  Fuck you, God Squad.  Fuck that game.  Everything about that FG was, is, and forever will be, bullshit.

The fondest memories of my youth are that of crisp and cloudless autumn days, listening to Ufer with my dad doing yard work. Even during televised games we would turn the tv down and listen to the radio call. Innocence eh

Never having lived in Michigan, I hadn't heard of Bob Ufer until long after he'd stopped being the Voice of Michigan Football.  Listening to some of his audio clips that are available, I understand how Michigan Wolverines football fans were lucky to have had him on their radio broadcasts.

In many ways, his voice is why I'm here. Some of those calls are hard for me to listen to without getting teary eyed. He really makes you remember why you love this program.

Wish I could be there especially because I'll be at the game, but I can't so I'm glad to know I can preorder it!

Unfortunately I am not old enough to remember any of his famous broadcasts, but owning just one of his cd's(which I listen to prior to every football season, I wish I had the opportunity to hear them live. Also some great stories as well. When he had surgery for prostate cancer, he told his doctor 3 things. 1) I have all the confidence in the world you will do a great job, 2) Take the buckeye out and 3) Go Blue!! Classic Ufer.
