First 50-win season by Michigan since 1987
Michigan is now 50-20 on the season. The first 50-win season since 1987 when we went 52-12 but got knocked out in Regionals.
1983, 1985, 1987, 2019. The only 50-win seasons in the program's history. I have a feeling there will be more in the near future.

If they can keep playing loose, they can definitely win this. Sphincter ball was definitely out in force in the 4th-6th innings till Kerr put a ball out in the Missouri River. Totally changed the tone of the game. Bring that into game 2 (and game 3 if necessary) and we can get #51

I shit my pants when he hit that mainly because he had just had a distracting pitch prior and had frankly several wild swings throughout the day. Jimmy showed a ton of focus and confidence to drop the hammer on the pitch he did in the situation he did and the day he’d been having. Just huge Jimmy Ballz. Good for you, Jimmy!! Keep raking!!!
ESPN has done about 50 30 for 30’s. This team should be the first 50 for 50 - I would watch the crap out of that.

back when I lived just up state street I'd go to the games since they were for free just to hang out and do something out of the house on a saturday or sunday. I'd bring some light homework reading and kick it for a while.
I don't live as close anymore but I'm not far - I've been meaning to do it again sometime for old time's sake. see you next year maybe!
I love how this team plays, the hustle, taking the extra base, making the other pitchers throw a lot of pitches, very few errors, great job by Erik Bakich!

This upsets me so much. This hollow 50 win season will take the pressure off of doing the right thing and firing Bakich right now so we can get a coach who will have a shot at a regular season BigTen title next year.
And Vanderbilt is 57-12, scoring 9 or more runs in 29 of those games. Michigan is on schedule to slay what may be the biggest dragon of them all. Can we get a new banner for the website?
Agree with the new banner - i have been wanting a banner change for some time now. Even if baseball loses 2 in a row, still throw one up. They deserve it.

Hopefully not. Every time this site banner gets changed it negatively affects the sport that’s on it.
