Even bigger weekend for the BBall recruiting?
With all of the big time bball recruits visiting this win may pay even bigger dividends for Beilein than for RR.

Michigan is awesome. Everyone should want to play here. Spread the word ;).

Eh.....the atmosphere certainly can't have hurt and I'm not complaining, but I kind of hope a basketball recruit makes his decision based on a lot of factors ahead of the football atmosphere. They definitely picked the right football weekend for a visit, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

I could care less why they choose to come to Michigan, as long as they're good.

While I wouldn't complain if they did commit for that reason, it would be a silly thing to count on.

Tommy McCune from Saginaw High was one of the basketball recruits mentioned. His school played my school last year and I went to the game and he seemed pretty raw. He was a sophomore at the time and he was already like 6'9", so obviously he has a lot of potential and time to improve. He didn't play great, but he showed a few flashes of dominance.

I wonder if Kelvin Grady originally committed during a football weekend?

Hey - thanks for mixing in some good bball info. I think there is a midnight madness type event on Oct. 16 the night before the Del. St game. It is interesting that Prather and Zeigler came the same weekend - hope there are scholarships available for both although we could use some size too.
