Otherwise it is useless info. Here is their rating system: Playing in ESPN game - top 150, not playing: unrated. They are awful and awfully inaccurate. Free is all they are worth. The magazine? Personifies everything wrong with ESPN: its all bull^%#$ and no substance. I had been an 'insider' for some reason and when the magazine arrived in the mail the magazine did not make a trip to the restroom, did not hit the coffee table, did not pass go and ended up directly in the trashcan.

Insider is free with an ESPN the Magazine subscription. I don't even remember how I got my subscription I think I may have bought it from one of those high school fundraiser type things for a good price and I'm a sucker for some of those high school sports fundraisers. Insider isn't all that great though, its pretty good for some MLB or NFL info but I wouldn't advise buying Insider on its own. Edit: This doesn't really have anything to do with your question. I think my brain is already fried today.

Usually that college ESPN station has recruiting update shows like once a week. Although beware it is heavily biased to the SEC. By far the best thing to look for from an M standpoint is Brian's "Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday Recruitin'" where weekly updates are more than enough to satisfy your recruiting needs. My interest in recruiting news has heavily subsided from around last January. I don't expect any commitments until after the Ohio State game.

Although the OSU game is shaping up to be quite a recruiting weekend. We could possibly get a commitment from D Hart, Cullen Christian, Tony Grimes, Clarence Murphy, Rashaad Knight... (this is probably in order of how likely each are to commit). I could also possibly see Kenny Shaw being very impressed seeing that atmosphere with Ricardo and D Hart. I hate the thought of losing someone who is already committed but I wouldn't be all that upset with losing Williamson or Dileo and adding Kenny Shaw instead. I would rather lose Williamson than Dileo just because we know so little about him. This also highly depends on FSU continuing to lose and Michigan winning of course. I'm just thinking out loud here.

One thing we do know about Williamson is that he won the 100 meter at his school level in Ohio this past year. So, I'll keep Williamson and dump Dileo, thank you very much. Note: Of course, this is all moot as I seriously doubt that Shaw will want to commit to UM.

Mgoblog pretty much has all of the info we really need. If you feel the thirst for more, look at the field suggesting other blogs on the left side of the page. Also, you can listen to Sam Webb "Michigan Insider" podcasts on www.wtka.com, especially the daily "recruiting" segment. There is so much info here and in other parts of the free blogosphere that you really don't need to buy any of the premium services. But I guess they are cool if you don't mind spending the money and you want a little bit of extra info and you want it an hour faster than everyone else.
