Someone should hire Chris Creighton. Seriously. It’s no small thing what he’s done there.
Also: hahahahahahahahaha

Yeah, he's a dude. If they weren't super unlucky (they lost 6 in a row by a total of like 27 last year, two in OT, finished 5-7) he would have two straight bowl appearances at Eastern. And now they need four wins against a MAC schedule, Army at Rynearson, and at SDSU to get eligible this year. I would absolutely take a good look at him if I were, say, Illinois.

Pretty sure Illinois is committed to Lovie for the long haul especially if he bears USF next week.

Pretty sure Illinois is the most incompetent athletic department in the country and is incapable of such a hire lol

Illinois has the longest P5 streak of no bowls or NCAA tournament appearances, so they are a pretty strong contender. Its them or Rutgers.

someone needs to put Lovie out of his misery. why is he doing this to himself?

Illinois’ inability to be consistently good in either of the big two sports remains mystifying. I guess Chicagoans just don’t identify with their state institution that much?

If you grow up in or around Chicago, pro sports are the jam. The major Chicago press barely covers Illinois. Even if you are into college sports, Notre Dame sadly takes priority in Chicago.

Kansas just broke their 46 game road losing streak at Central, so they've got that going for them.
And at least they have basketball unlike Illinois.

His (very deceptive) overall record of 17-34 may just keep him in Ypsi a bit longer. Fans of a P5 program, not knowing how tough of a job EMU is, may look at that and flip out.

"Someone"-- did hire him--that would be EMU--and he has beaten back-to-back BIG 12 opponents......guess who can't say that?
Also, EMU has won back-to-back MAC games and vs. Ball State they won 56-14 last November.
Great job Chris Creighton!

But I thought Brohm was the next Saban?

If he was going 4-8 every year while the AD debating on whether or not to continue the football program, I’d be impressed. Instead, he’s got them a game over .500 going back to 2016. I don’t know how good of a coach he’d be elsewhere, but he’s done a great job at EMU.

Lot of Sparties crawling back into their holes today. Let's hope they stay there awhile.

Awesome! Yet another EMU thread!

Beats all the Sparty threads.

When I was a student at EMU I don't think they won a TOTAL of 2 games. Good for them.

I know that the OP means (rightly so) in D 1, but have to note that my D3 Kalamazoo College Hornets are also 2-0!
