EA Sports game simulation of UM vs MSU
I would gladly murder my whole family if it brought NCAA football back.
I’d also murder your family to bring it back.
I'm waiting for Everybody Murders to chime in.
We all murder. So no big deal.
If everybody murders, than nobody murders.
This is the most blatant "Everyone Murders" bat-signal I've seen in some time.
/ clears throat /
Family of CJW3 - "We will gladly murder CJW3 to keep NCAA football from being brought back."
Ohana means family. Family means murdering each other to bring back NCAA Football.
-Midwestern Proverb
This will be used as evidence during the next OT: Talking Unsolved Legends Wednesday post.
Did someone say Murder?
Zach Smith is willing to contribute a few family member beatings to the cause.
Are those their rankings in NCAA14? I still play, and those sound right to me.
If they would have updated all the rosters into Dynasty or Season mode, the rankings would automatically adjust to the current player ratings.
Maybe they simulated the season up to that point in the schedule.
The supervisor.
Can this bit die now?
I can give you anywhere from 3-9 reasons why it can not.
"He has trouble with the cop!"
Wait, we're allowed to talk about this now?
It will never be over.
The correct terminology now is, "It will never not be over."
All your supervisors are belong to us....
Am I doing this right?
I’m just waiting for someone to change their username to “The Supervisor”
I would put that more in the "defeated with dignity" column than the close one column.
The rankings come from 2013, the year that game was made.
***Edit: And that's what happens when you assume. I stand corrected. Michigan was #19 and MSU was unranked upon the game's release. Not sure where those rankings are coming from, but there is no way to edit rankings in that game. My guess is when they recreated the rosters, they plugged the teams into a season or dynasty and those rankings are what the CPU generated based on the player ratings.
So an MSU fan recreated the rosters, got it.
Have to assume they simulated the whole season and that's where the teams were ranked at that point
You actually can edit the rankings in that game. It's not easy, and you cant do it within the game, but you can do it. You can edit darn near anything except jerseys. Which is weird.
the ranking makes me worried about Army.
That's not entirely true. You can edit rankings for just about everything including recruiting if you use the editing program. I am not sure why the rankings are that way but SG1 does sort of a spinoff of the rosters we make.
The opening drive we threw the ball 4 times in a row for a TD...
Well that settles it. BET. THE. FARM.
**** EA SPORTS.
Fake video, unrealistic. No way Michigan ever opens up in the spread and 4 straight pass plays. MANBALL
And Lewerke wasn't enough of a scattergun to be realistic.
Where's the threat? Where is it?
A fictional matchup of Ali and Marciano was determined allegedly by computer in 1969, and a film simulation was played in theaters in North America and Europe in 1970. The American audiences saw Marciano KO Ali in the 13th, and Euro audiences saw Ali score a TKO also in the 13th.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_Fight
The notion that the 5-10.5" Marciano, whose fighting weight was 185 with a 68" reach would KO, let alone beat, a fighter of Ali's skills who was 6'-3", 215 lbs, with a 78" reach still strikes me as ridiculous, but GIGO.
don't be so quick to dismiss rocky. give ali credit as a great boxer and he had a tougher jaw than many give him props for, but there is a science to fighting bigger opponents. marciano would have more than a puncher's chance in the mythical match-up because he would be in ali's grill, negating the reach advantage, cutting off the ring, and working the body all day long. i know that's what i'd do.
That's how Frazier beat Ali once, supposedly. I suspect Ali's anti-Vietnam war position had something to do with that verdict, but what do I know, I was 9 months old at the time.
He beat Joe Louis's ass....
Joe Louis was 100 years old when he fought Rocky Marciano.
made me curious so l looked it up: he was 37, just shy of his 100th b-day.
here's his wiki for those interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Louis
They should’ve done this simulation with the cfb m19 game or whatever it’s called. For those who don’t know, google madden college football mod.
Hopefully the m20 version will include dynasty, create a player, and recruiting. Wish in one hand though, right
Interesting. Looks pretty good, but obviously missing all of the nuts-and-bolts stuff like recruiting that makes the NCAA game great. (oh, you said that, sorry)
Which reminds me, how long until that goofball startup company comes out with their Gridiron Heroes college game or whatever it was supposed to be called? That will be the shock of the century if those guys ever deliver on that.
Allegedly it's supposed to release in 2020.
I thought I read somewhere ESPN had MSU ranked ahead of us.
2019 preseason? That would make zero sense.
You must be thinking hoops. They had a subpar offense last year and reshuffled the deck on the Titanic in the offseason. I don't think any "expert" outside of EL would be bold enough to do that.
Does your comment imply that there are "experts" inside EL?
Other than the experts at shielding criminal behavior and such...
