DPJ in a boot on the sidelines

This stinks. Can probably get away with him out this week and next. Then a bye.
We'll see if Harbaugh goes into details. Not holding my breath.

WTF! When did this happen?
August 31st, 2019 at 6:57 PM ^
He got caught up in celebrating the return of Ambry
August 31st, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
Going to find out about that Ronnie Bell hype
August 31st, 2019 at 8:55 PM ^
hopefully its just first game jitters
August 31st, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
Great news earlier about Ambry, only to be followed up with horrible news about DPJ.
At least there is more depth at WR but still.
August 31st, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
Not great. Hopes he's back for the BIG opener.
August 31st, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
Is this a new injury, separate from the one he’s battled all year?
August 31st, 2019 at 6:57 PM ^
Boots are often precautionary ... hopefully it's that and nothing more
August 31st, 2019 at 7:16 PM ^
I was in a similar boot, as per the video on BTN, for 18 months... I did though get hit by an ambulance.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:27 PM ^
Isn't it ironic...don't ya think
August 31st, 2019 at 8:51 PM ^
This made me laugh. Not sure why, though.
August 31st, 2019 at 10:30 PM ^
It makes a lot of people laugh so you’re not alone!
August 31st, 2019 at 7:03 PM ^
i think a groin injury (or maybe hamstring) kept him out of spring so this would be new.
hopefully it doesnt linger and hes back by conference ball

High ankle sprain.
September 1st, 2019 at 4:43 PM ^
Thank you for your insight. Is week 4 realistic for a return?
September 2nd, 2019 at 10:15 AM ^
High ankle sprain is 4-5 weeks of rest/PT, then conditioning to get back in shape, then practice, then game. Could be mid-season before DPJ is back to full strength, which is a bummer but he should be back for the meat of the schedule - Penn State would be just about right, maybe Illinois in a limited role to knock off the rust.
August 31st, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
*sigh*
WHY?
August 31st, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
Shut the front door. Damn. Figured punt returner would get a lot of action today.
August 31st, 2019 at 6:56 PM ^
BPONE
August 31st, 2019 at 6:57 PM ^
Man, I hope DPJ isn't next in the line of elite recruits who could never show what they're capable of here.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:10 PM ^
Yeah let's jump to that already.
August 31st, 2019 at 6:57 PM ^
Huge loss if anything long-term. Damn.

Hurt it this week... so separate issue?
August 31st, 2019 at 7:02 PM ^
Wtf does Michigan do at practice. I swear we have the most practice injuries of any cfb team.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:06 PM ^
I swear we have the most practice injuries of any cfb team.
I'm not sure that's true. However, "toughness" or "physicality" or whatever Harbaugh is going for is tough on depth.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:37 PM ^
Well if you've watched the poor ball-handling and poor tackling from a ton of teams in week 1. Pick your poison.
I just watched NORTHWESTERN of all teams set what had to be a school record in missed tackles. Stanford with two fumbles on zone reads.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:08 PM ^
Seconded. This shit happens every year it seems. I already miss the offseason when I didn’t need worry about this stuff.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:13 PM ^
I wonder the same thing... this team has more “practice” injuries then any team I know of. It’s incredible how many mysterious injuries just pop up in practices
August 31st, 2019 at 7:00 PM ^
Are we ever going to get Nico , Black, DPJ on the field at the same time ? Wth
August 31st, 2019 at 7:01 PM ^
Da fuk?
August 31st, 2019 at 7:02 PM ^
Keep Black healthy.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:07 PM ^
Time for Oliver Martin to step up...
...oh wait...
August 31st, 2019 at 7:11 PM ^
I'm prepared for him to be a non factor this season.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:11 PM ^
Now I'm hearing Donovan jeter is out too?? Wtf is goin on
August 31st, 2019 at 7:14 PM ^
DPJ and Jeter out. Runyan in.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:16 PM ^
Hopefully he's just totally ok and not because they don't feel ok with Hayes.
Last I knew they could play Runyan but only in emergency type situation.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:19 PM ^
Boy, am I happy my name isn't Donovan, right now!
August 31st, 2019 at 7:19 PM ^
Before everyone shits themseves, this is probably just precautionary. He was walking around on the telecast without a limp. UM knows this is just a cupcake/baby seal/tomato can game.
August 31st, 2019 at 7:24 PM ^
And virtually every team suffers some practice-related issues in August. This isn't unique to Michigan.
August 31st, 2019 at 9:40 PM ^
So is this a thing, officially? I remember when Herbert was announced that many Arkansas fans were saying they had an issues with feet specifically. Even found the old /r/cfb thread where people were talking about it -
"prepare to have your top RB/WR's hurt in practice before the season starts for years to come... mostly from broken feet".
September 1st, 2019 at 1:26 AM ^
DPJ has a sprained ankle and will be out approximately two weeks it’s not a huge deal.
Donovan Jeter is out for “another” reason don’t believe it to be too long for his return .
September 2nd, 2019 at 9:29 PM ^
High ankle sprain showing in a boot is not a 1-2 week injury. Harbaugh is delusional unless it is a common ankle sprain and he has his facts wrong.
