Double check your DVR if you set it too soon for BTN @ noon

Submitted by Victor Hale II on
I have Charter and set my DVR on Thursday as soon as I learned that the game time had been officially moved. At that time, "Michigan v. Maryland" wasn't listed as a possible game, but I set it anyway. I'm new to DVR, so maybe this is common knowledge how this works, but I double checked today and my little red dot was gone, presumably because the time slot now showed M v. M as an alternate game. So I guess because it was a different program name, I had to reset the DVR, as my previous show had been "cancelled". Crisis averted! Go blue!

I remember that before I had Charter I thought that Comast sucked more than anything could possibly suck.  Kinda like when we thought that 7-5 was the year of infinite pain.  Haha.  Haha.

Hahaha.

With Sling, I'm guessing you don't have the ability to fast forward through commercials. I can't handle live tv anymore, with those annoying commercials. The only time I tolerate it is during a Michigan game, and even then I sometimes dvr the game and start watching it 30 minutes after it started so I can skip through the commercials.

Thanks. I am doing the DVR / complete media blackout thing today, and would have been upset if I got home and the game didn't record.

Okay I'm a dummy. I am new to Charter, and I barely ever watch TV here at home. It turns out I have two separate BTN channels and my prior recording was, in fact, still intact. Looks like on Thursday I set channel 58 to record at noon, and today I went to 778. Both are BTN. OP fail - going to neg myself if I don't screw that up too. Also posbang for all for wasting their time on my thread.

Im still not sure which BTN channel its going to be on. They both list our game "OR" the Minny/NW game. So I DVRed them both.

Important: anyone know how the time change will affect those who have to stream? Legitimately or otherwise. Personally I have a login from my tv provider, but i don't know whether it will have the BTN Mich/Maryland game or the BTN NW/Minny game, or both... There is only one BTN listed.

but I'm about 99% sure the usual suspects for illegtimate streaming will still have the broadcast.  A quick check of my go-to site (won't name it, because I don't remember the general rules on that kind of thing here), shows that they plan on having links ready for noon kickoff.

Has anyone tried the "auto extend" feature on the newer Xfinity DVRs?

We're back with comcast for football season and there are some nice new features. Not sure if I can trust the auto extend yet. I'll be watching live today but in the future I don't want to miss the end of a game.

Yeah I don't trust it either. Hit the "C" button to open the sports app when watching games though, that is an absolute game changer. One of my biggest pet peeves is that it's impossible to find games in the late third and fourth quarters because they all run over the allotted time on the guide. It allows you to see all the scores and click on any of them to jump right in and watch them. No guessing on the channel. It's awesome

The hospital I'm working at (in Wisconsin) has the NW-Minn game on their btn.  I remember someone posted a good feed of the UNLV game a couple weeks ago.  A little help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
