That's it I'm switching my career to journalism.  Man they can be as accurate as weathermen and still keep their job!  This crap is getting ridiculous.  Why not someone report from Fox that Jim Harbaugh just turned into an elephant.

Ross is like Han Solo in Episode 4.......he just shot Darth Vader and gave Luke the perfect opportunity to destroy the Death Star......the only question now is can we place the missles perfectly? They're about the size of a womp rat!

the Luck decision may be the event that changed everthing. Staying at Stanford with a better contract and Luck for another season has to look better than the reengineering job needed at Michigan. Plus JH would likely scare off DRob and how happy would we be with that prospect.

JH was not offered three years ago was his desire to one day coach in the NFL and UM was looking for a long term coach?

I see DB waiting this out and getting the last interview with JH and riding the emotional roller coaster all the way back to AA with JH aboard.

I think it might actually be in the stars or something for Michigan to get him. Its just too damn wierd/coincidental/unbelievable of a turn of events.

You couldnt make this stuff up! I mean take a step back, pretend you're an Oaklahoma or ND or whatever fan and think about all this drama & PR over the UofM head coaching job!I know that we all just think and feel the negativity eminating from this situation but if you look from the outside it"s probably somewhat fascinating just for the size/scope of the story and the legs it just keeps growing.

I'm feeling about 70/30 right now in favor of him coming to AA. Just a gut feeling but being that the BEST of the NFL options for him was Miami. SF is hiring a new GM that I've heard already has some bad history with Harbaugh(maybe Jon?). In Denver you're in Elways shadow, no question about it. Elway is Denvers version of Steve Yzerman.

I actually thought Dallas or Miami was most likely to win the Harbaugh lottery and now both of them are out?? Stanford w/ Luck might seem like a reasonable thing but really I cant ever see a coach letting a player, who is definately going to leave, influencing something as important this is to JH.

Me thinks he's coming home.

Just put on a MICH ball cap.  Do some crunches in the driveway of his home. (a la T.O.)  talk to the media, and make a pitch to MSC and DB.  For fucks sake.  10 years 55-60 million.  DB can even use his pimp hand, JH you can bolt to the NFL in 5 years.  The buyout is 1 NC, 3 Rose bowls, and 5 OSU wins!

Do you think that Ross would want the AD job?  Now that there is a pimp hand:

Harbaugh and 49ers: Alright we almost have a deal. Ross: I'll double whatever they're offering Jim. Harbaugh: Ha fuck you SanFran, I'm going to Miami. Ross: Enh I'll keep the guy I have after all. I hope you didn't burn any bridges. Harbaugh: .... If Ross really did manage to keep JH out of the NFL (even if JH stays at Stanford) I'll be rather impressed.

If nothing else Ross delayed the 49ers deal and bought Brandon another day or two to fire off one last push to get Harbaugh.

Michigan job is better than Stanford job (from pre-Orange Bowl rumors)

49ers job is better than Stanford job (post Orange Bowl rumors)

Miami job is better than 49ers job (yesterday's rumors)

Stanford job is better than 49ers job (tonight's rumor)

Stanford job is better than Michigan job (inferred rumor)

I suppose Denver can come in and mess things up even more, but this is nuts. I don't think Harbaugh can ever command a higher NFL salary than right now, given the number of suitors, the success of his brother, and his success at Stanford. Would he stay at Stanford and then jump to the NFL, but risk having worse offers?

I can handle JH going to the NFL. But if he chooses Stanford over Michigan, Andrew Luck or no, well... we'll know his wife hates snow.

Local news (7&4, Traverse City) just reported at like 11:25 PM (it was Giacomo Accardo) that the Dolphins released Sparano.  I find myself wondering how outdated this info is.  I walk in here to my computer and see that at 11PM it was reported on MGoBlog that Sparano was retained.  This is why MGoBlog being down or partially out of service the last few days has been so painful.  Nobody else knows anything and they report rumors that are several hours old.  We need MGoBlog.

Is that Luck is actually going to take like 30 credits this semester so he can graduate and then utilize the Master's degree at a different school rule and come with JH to Michigan!

Right?  Right?

Right!

What I find the most irksome is how this coach search is being portrayed as this scramble for anyone willing to take the job.  3 years ago, no one wanted the job... even Schiano rejected it... Michigan isn't what it used to be...

This year, "Fitzgerald won't go to Michigan, will stay at Northwestern..."  I mean, how else is DB to get a feel for what's out there without inquiring?  Just because Michigan contacts you, doesn't mean the job is yours.  Michigan is doing its due diligence.  All the commentary on ESPN and other outlets suggest the opposite.  AH.
