.. MSU football isn't relevant in hearts & minds the way that Spartans want to be ... that part isn't disrespect, that's just the way things have come out for them.  He could have been changing that by encouraging a culture of champions.  You don't see us running around complaining about disrespect, and we've been the butts of everyone's jokes for the better part of a decade.  Disrespect works for him.  It fits him well.

The hand that Dantonio was dealt was a good one.  He got a losing UM program.  That was the hand he was dealt.  Instead of acting like a champion, he acts like he's a victim.  The guy is just weird.  It doesn't surprise me that he's so much fun to laugh at.  He says he wants respect, but he complains like a little bitch.  I don't respect little bitches.  I don't know why anyone would.

i understand why he would not want to confirm it, but his snark is ridiculous.  the Game has only been confirmed nationwide as the greatest rivalry game in all of sports. except fr that little fact of course people would think of msu first. omg.

Why the hell does everyone on this board think it is funny and clever to spell things wrong when talking about certain things/teams? Ex: tOSU, STAEE, Fig things, disrespekt, uniformz, etc.

I just don't see how a group of grown men adults can find it funny. Talk about beating a dead horse for one and for two, it's so childish.... In most of these instances, it's one idiot that mispells something or something stupid like that, and then we think it's funny to keep spelling it like that and calling them those things? Man is it old!

They do it because they are arrogant pricks that think they are better than everyone. I've found it annoying for years. A bunch of keyboard warriors, most of whom have never played, or excelled at a sport in their life, so they purposely try and take down others.

Aptly named. Please return to your Minecraft with your buddies Chet, Blake and Grey. You might have missed all the history behind the intentional misspellings by not reading this blog while distracted by one direction made for TV specials in your mom's basement.

I kind of agree with your premise, but most of your examples are ridiculous. In what way is tOSU disrespectful or wrong? That's what they call themselves. If you don't know the backstory of staee and fig things then I can't help you. It's probably overused but they aren't childish and overtly disrespectful.

The other two are just meh to me. I don't really get it but it isn't hurting anyone.

The only ones that are dumb are things like O$U and whatever the equivalent for MSU and ND are. Those are the childish ones that I find annoying. Most people here don't use anything like that though and that's why I like it here. You seem way too sensitive about this stuff.

this just reeks of manufactured 'disrespekt' for mork to get his players and the rest of sparty nation all affronted for their big game against osu this weekend - guarantee you the msu SID guy fed that reporter the 'question'

asked Texas A&M ' s coach about their rivalry with Texas being a shadow of the Red River Rivalry... or Air Forces coach about being second fiddle to the Army Navy game... Georgia Tech in reference to the Georgia Florida game... I don't think anyone associated with the Michigan program gets defensive when it is mentioned that the Notre Dame vs. USC rivalry is bigger than the Notre Dame vs. Michigan Rivalry. Is Dantonio so much of a Douche that he blocks out modern sports history... hell he was the D-Coordinator at OSU and he knew that the Michigan game was everything..... He could have taken the high road... acknowledged the rivalry... say he lived the rivalry... and now his goal is to create a new rivalry... Or he can be a smug prick and keep losing recruits.

It's all fine and dandy in October for the game with MichiganMichigan State but that's water cooler banter, chiding your State friends. When it's all said and done The Game is prestigious, heated for both sides and perhaps the best rivalry game in the nation. A win is important to MSU this week but the only reason they are playing is because they are in the same division.
