Demar Dorsey to Hawaii
BFeldmanCBS Ex 5-star Michigan DB recruit Demar Dorsey will play for Hawaii this yr. A source confirmed he'll arrive at UH in late July. 5/16/12 1:08 PM |
I know some of you don't really care about updates on recruits that never made it, sorry.
Just thought this was interesting to post since some of you really wanted Hoke to re-recruit him
Except that I simply call it "memory."
The Free Press was an essential part of the Demar Dorsey story. Drew Sharp's press conference confrontation; Mick McCabe's unprecedented Op-Ed. Remember that the story extended all the way to columnists in New York writing about it. The Freep, as far as I am aware, sent two investigative reporters to Florida to do oppo-research on Dorsey. When has that EVER been done before? Let's call it what it was. A press war.
Except the reporting was accurate.
Only 139 points to show for the last year of your 3 years and seven months of membership, but you finally reappear to bait Section 1 with an ad hominem attack?
No matter which side of the Freep issue you are on, that's just trolling.
I know you aren't really thinking about the consequences of what you are saying Tater, so I will just suggest you think about the possibility that some people have been members for a long time and don't feel the need to comment all that much (I took like two years off commenting). That doesn't make them trolls, it just says that many of us are hear to read rather than to share...
love,
jdon
ALL MY DREAMS!!
Hawaii certainly helped Colt Brennan land squarely on his feet. Hopefully Dorsey can do the same.
I hope it works out for the OHIO transfer qb, there too. Now I've got a few reasons to look forward to watching the Rainbows the next couple of years.
I am glad he found somwhere he fits. I hope he is able to find success and earn a degree. Best wishes.
So Dorsey commits to Hawaii for football, but who pays for his transportation out to the island? Is that included in his athletic scholarship or does the athlete have to pay the bill?
the guy who did qualify and did attend U-M (Tate), could not get a whisper from Hawaii on his transfer request; while the guy who did not qualify and could not attend U-M, is headed to Hawaii to play.
God bless that kid...seriously
All the best to him.
luck to Demar. I wish the kid well, and will be rooting for him.
After Demar's recruitment, I promised myself I'd never take recruiting too seriously ever again. Everything he went through, all the scrutiny from the media, not getting past admissions, etc, etc. Got to say, the kid is now a man for sticking with his goal of playing Div. 1 football. It's safe to say dreams do come true.
I'll be rooting for the kid, anytime Hawaii is on tv I'm going to watch.
Good for him. I hope everything works out.
Good luck to the kid. I'm just glad he's not going back to Florida, where too many of his old acquaintances would be hangers-on and trouble waiting to happen. He's immediately my favorite Rainbow Warrior ever. OK, so I can only name one other, but he was not even my favorite player named "Colt".
If only Tate Forcier could go there and play with him.
I had hoped to root for him as a Wolverine, now I will just hope all works out for him and he is drafted by the Lions in a few years. Good luck!
Never thought of that; wouldn't that be a laugh? I could actually become a Lions fan. From what I hear, the Lions could use some help in the defensive backfield next year.
I wanted to see him showcase his abilities in the Maize and Blue, but it didn't work out. Good luck to him at Hawaii.
I realize what's done is done but we always needed a DB like him. Here's to hoping JT Floyd explodes this year!
word is that along with Demar Dorsey, Darren Myles Jr. and JT Turner will be joining Mike Edwards whos already played a season for Hawaii... this secondary gon be jus nasty...
