Deleted Threads

Can someone tell me why the threads about Threet transferring were deleted? They showed up in my RSS feed, but were deleted before I could read the comments. I just want to know if the rumors were baseless or if the threads got out of control.

if they offer no link or any other legit substantiation. B. Cook does not allow the forum to become a baseless rumor mill, so the caretakers wont allow that in his absence. The first thread was given several hours to provide legit sourcing last night before it got closed down....not sure how long until this new one stays up. The threat of a thread like that getting out of hand....a la character assassination on Threet.....is also a concern. So to answer you question, the basic thought was it was a rumor with no legit attribution.....both threads talk about a Mlive story/link, but none can really be found.

In general, if MLIVE finds the content dodgy enough to delete, it's pretty shady, at least at this point. Brian generally has a pretty decent standard for rumors (link something more than a deleted MLive post would be one), and those left behind in his stead are using their judgement of what he'd generally axe himself.

I don't see how Threet would even think about transferring. There have been so many articles on him this offseason. He is planning to work hard and compete with Tate and Denard. I think Threet is in a pretty good position, he is the incumbent starter (sort of) and we've never had any indication that RR blames him for the 3-9 season. He was injured half the time anyways.
