Defeated without dignity

Yesterday was what the 2016 game should’ve been. As I was watching yesterday it felt eerily similar for quite a while. MSU scores early, and we dominate after that. Both games were 27-10 at one point. Yesterday we finished. Admit it, even though we dominated 2016 and coasted through the 4th quarter, it didn’t feel great to see them make it closer than it should’ve been. Even in garbage time. Yesterday we had the look that there would be no “garbage time” this year and we were going to play for 60 minutes this time.

Also, I’m appreciative that #96 Panisuik took that cheap shot on Shea. He will be back next year and our guys won’t forget that. When their is a talent difference like there likely will be next year again, the more talented team needs things to keep them motivated.

The difference is we finally have an explosive offense for the first time in Harbaugh's tenure and he's willing to use it. Prior to the ND game, he has been in play not to lose mode for 4.5 years. Hopefully he finally woke up and will stop giving away a couple games per year to inferior teams. If they would have started faster against PSU, we would still be in the division race. Unfortunately we are relegated to a spoiler role.

They could, but if they are undefeated they are a slam-dunk choice for the CFP.  If M beats them, then suddenly it's a discussion between OSU and Bama, and Bama could have the stronger claim since they were beaten by #1.  M could definitely play the spoiler here.  Just imagine the rage of OSU fans if left out of the CFP because M beat them.  That could be fun, I can dream, can't I?

I would agree with that. Remember all those people who were pissed off with Harbaugh interfering with his own team's offense early in the year? I wish he would have been more involved from the beginning. A collaborative offense could have looked much better. I sure hope this offense stays for years to come as they are rounding into a nice form

Garbage time wasn’t garbage time because Mork never pulled his starters, so Harbaugh kept our starters in.  It was a fight to the finish.  Did they get back on the bus to EL with their helmets on?

We have dominated a crappy MSU team the last two years.  Defeating a rival is always an achievement and deserves to be celebrated.  That being said, things are back to where they should be, they are little brother in all aspects of the phrase.  Personally, I’m kind of over the taunting and the trash talk.  Let’s not give them the time of day....they don’t deserve it.

Yes, Mike Hart started with the "little brother" comment.  But Dantonio elevated the trash talk. I once rooted for MSU when they were not playing Michigan or if it didn't effect Michigan negatively.  Not anymore, I hope we beat them soundly every game.  Like the cheap shot on Shea yesterday, that is just plain garbage regardless what team does it.  Sure does seam that it happens a lot by MSU and that is a reflection of the coach.

96 also tried to injure Ruiz last year as well. Ruiz was stuck in a pile and he was pushing him over. Could have blown out a knee

I feel like one thing that can’t be discounted and has helped contribute to MSUs decline in recruiting is UC and UK hiring Fickell and Stoops. Those two schools are now snatching up the above average Ohio kids that used to fall in Dantonio’s lap without him having to put forth any effort. What is their 2020 class, like 10th in the B1G? As long as Mork sticks around that program is toast for the foreseeable future haha

I think it's definitely that, combined with the formation of the B1G East, combined with many of MSU's best players being off the team for…reasons.

Once Harbaugh got here and Franklin started having success at Penn State, MSU couldn't have looked very attractive to recruits. The division has three powerhouses, one of which is a perennial national championship contender, and MSU doesn't have the non-athletic attractions to bring in recruits. If you're going to play in the B1G East, it's better to go to Indiana where the campus and school are much nicer.

The game will be in EL and Shea will be gone, so I hope they focus on winning rather than Pansysuck payback.
