MSU has mailed him his LOI form so he can have it if he wants to sign it.  The kids will sign and fax the forms on Wednesday.

This is based on a Rivals article ealier today where he said he had the forms from UM, Iowa and GT but had no idea if MSU was going to send one.  The article presumably came out before this comment.

"The check's in the mail" is a pretty old joke/punchline.  Besides, isn't he supposed to wait until signing day to actually sign an LOI?

He didn't shut things down and set up a signing day announcement only to tweet to some random individual where he was going 2 days before. Let's use our heads...

This seems highly unlikely, since virtually all LOI are faxed in so that, you know, they arrive on time.  Also, I'm fairly certain he wouldn't announce mailing it on his twitter page without also announcing WHERE he mailed it.

Also FWIW, various other gurus have made similar claims for all 4 of the schools involved. I think that with both Cooper and Fisher, no one really knows what is going on (Less so for Fisher-not sure why some are saying it's between us and Sparty as opposed to Oregon).

Sidebar-Farrell also said in his chat today that Dee Hart was unlikely to flip commitments again, which you know, duh since he's already enrolled.

Take what they say with a colossal grain of salt.

anywhere near that Iowa program. I sure as hell wouldn't if I were a parent.

We also forbade our daughter from attending Michigan State, and I would like to think his Mom would do the same too. Which brings it down to UM and GT. Both are good educational institutions, so he can get a valuable degree at either place.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but it seems as if we have an advantage in most areas. Great academics and he wants to major in business, great facilities, location/weather aren't a factor, opportunity for early PT (does he know Sparty already has 2-3 DT commits), an S&C program that doesn't send 15% of it's players to the hospital, etc. Unfortnately, I am neither darian Cooper, nor do I have his ear.
