Darian Cooper's LOI is in the mail
Thought it was interesting to see that according to his twitter, Darian Cooper has mailed in his LOI, unfortunately we don't know to where.

What is this thing you call "mail"?

It sounds like it's headed to MSU since the question he is responding to is about whether or not MSU is still in the mix.

MSU has mailed him his LOI form so he can have it if he wants to sign it. The kids will sign and fax the forms on Wednesday.
This is based on a Rivals article ealier today where he said he had the forms from UM, Iowa and GT but had no idea if MSU was going to send one. The article presumably came out before this comment.

ahhhhhhh...that's a much better reading than mine. i think this is right.

Good because I like your explanation a lot more than mine.

yeah, unfortunately it kinda does sound like that. i hope we're miscontruing it or he didn't intend that construction.

it's over

"The check's in the mail" is a pretty old joke/punchline. Besides, isn't he supposed to wait until signing day to actually sign an LOI?
January 31st, 2011 at 4:04 PM ^
Mailed today, it might notget there til wednesday.

I hope it is in the mail to AA instead of E.L. His responce to the msu question could be taken multiple ways.
January 31st, 2011 at 4:01 PM ^
He didn't shut things down and set up a signing day announcement only to tweet to some random individual where he was going 2 days before. Let's use our heads...

If he's sending and receiving mail, that proves one thing: he can read/write and, therefore, is not going to State.

"Hello postman, I need to get this letter to the King of Prussia by way of Siam. Am I too late for the 4:30 auto-gyro?"

Excellent...
[tents fingers]

They usually fax those things. This is monkey business.

The coaches from each school have mailed him their respective LOI's. He hasn't mailed his signed LOI anywhere.

Damn you and all your rational information you bring to this board Tom. How dare you save us from another board meltdown.

Can you give us a "Wink Wink" if you know where his signed LOI is going?

please delete this thread

second that motion

This seems highly unlikely, since virtually all LOI are faxed in so that, you know, they arrive on time. Also, I'm fairly certain he wouldn't announce mailing it on his twitter page without also announcing WHERE he mailed it.

RivalsMike (MikeFarrell), just posted on twitter, that it's down to MSU and Iowa. Sorry if this was posted already, just read it.

Also FWIW, various other gurus have made similar claims for all 4 of the schools involved. I think that with both Cooper and Fisher, no one really knows what is going on (Less so for Fisher-not sure why some are saying it's between us and Sparty as opposed to Oregon).
Sidebar-Farrell also said in his chat today that Dee Hart was unlikely to flip commitments again, which you know, duh since he's already enrolled.
Take what they say with a colossal grain of salt.

That's surprising, I thought the yellow jackets were the favorites.

What's with this mail, man?
Just the fax, please.

anywhere near that Iowa program. I sure as hell wouldn't if I were a parent.
We also forbade our daughter from attending Michigan State, and I would like to think his Mom would do the same too. Which brings it down to UM and GT. Both are good educational institutions, so he can get a valuable degree at either place.
