Darboh says WRs took reps from both QBs in practice today

Not sure what it means overall (given all the misinformation that will happen this week) but good to hear in my opinion.

My prediction is that after Saturday, the fans in Columbus will have seen all that they want to see of Karan Higdon.

I suspect Harbaugh himself doesn't know whether Speight will play, so he's getting the most he can out of the situation by forcing Meyer to prepare for two QBs. I don't know how much anyone can really mess with Meyer's head, but if anyone can do it, his name is Jim Harbaugh. I bet Speight will play, at least on a limited basis.

I had a dream, the same dream, two nights in a row that Michigan wins and Jabril Peppers returns a kick for a TD in a light snow.  He starts to the right and then breaks it far to the left.  Whenever I have the same dream repeat, it always come true.

So rest easy.

Sure, Harbaugh's not going to give out any information and doesn't want anyone to gain even the slightest edge.  But if Indiana O'Korn shows up, what exactly will OSU have to adjust to?

Whomever the starting QB is, I'm hoping that Peppers gets to be in the backfield to pitch the ball back to the QB for a down field pass.

This provides the Oline a chance to Stanford-ball OSUs D. I would love to see us only have to pass it 5-10 times total just to give the D something to think about....and definitely something they'll want to forget

Speight warmed up prior to the Indiana game and looked fine. I assume if you take reps before a game, you're likely going to take reps in practice the following week. Speight's injury isn't one that would affect his abilities as a QB (directly at least). It's simply a matter of pain tolerance. It's going to hurt like hell if/when he gets hit in the left arm. Which may affect him mentally, but as far as throwing, it's irrelevant. So again, it's not a matter of if he's healthy enough to play. It's all about his pain tolerance.

I don't know if you have some super secret inside info but I am pretty sure most of what you're saying is untrue. His injury does affect his abilities as a qb - just because it's not his right arm/shoulder/side doesn't mean it isn't involved in throwing. If you've ever properly thrown a football, or any kind of ball, you'd know that the non-throwing side of your body plays a critical part in the throwing motion. And from the few throws I saw him make on Saturday, he wasn't moving his left side at all. Sorry to rain down on you like this but this is a legit, throwing-affecting injury, and yes I believe he's taking reps now and I pray that he's healthy, but this isn't just mental by any means. And pain often is a signal to the brain to stop doing something so you don't hurt yourself -- if this were the last game of the season, then yeah, numbing shots might be worth it, but in the end he'd still be hurting an existing injury if the numbing shots were necessary and he'd be in bad shape going into practice the next week.

Over at 11 Warriors, they're going full Cobra Kai with how hard they think their guys will hit Speight. I had been thinking he'll play, but now my guess is Harbaugh doesn't let him.

It's the user comments to their note on Darboh's hints. Most forum comments range from "It's not targeting to hit helmet to collarbone" to "Harbaugh would be a monster to put Speight out there if he has a lingering injury - he'll get killed!"
