Da'Shawn Hand to reschedule Florida visit?
Per Tom VH - Hand's coach says that Da'Shawn will be taking his SAT on October 5th and that his trip to Gainesville will have to be moved.
Florida only has one other home game after this weekend before his announcement and that is Vandy on Nov 9th (same day as LSU vs Bama). Assume this is good news?
Even if Florida was allowed to have official visitors for the Georgia game (Cocktail Party in Jax)...I would think the fact that he will not have the opportunity to see a game in "the Swamp" is a good thing?
2 team race? 1 TEAM race?

I think we'd all agree that it's a three "The Team" race.

The Team, The Team, or The Team, in otherwords?

congratulations, you deciphered the joke

No, no, no, you've got that totally backwards.
His leaderboard is clearly The Team, The Team and then The Team. At least, that's what Rivals says.

He is considering Sports Marketing and Engineering - this has to be a lock for blue.

"Florida sucks right now and Bama is about to be hit with sanctions right?"
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I like your enthusiasm but Florida "sucks right now" is a bit extreme - particularly given our 4 point squeaker over Akron - and there is nothing to suggest Alabama is going to be hit with anything other than a stern warning.
Don't jinx it.

I think it was a solid 4 point win over a regional rival !

Akron is out *real* rival anyway.

I know it's the Internet, but holy hell that post was dripping with sarcasm. You didn't catch that?

Not to mention Hand plays defense and Florida's defense is currently better than Michigan's. Florida's D has been a top ten defense every year under Muschamp, will likely be elite in the coming years, and is putting a bunch of defensive players in the NFL.

Knowing what do now about that composition, I think they scared teams more in the parking lot than on the field even during Tebow's time.

^ This.
Which is odd that he gave the same odds as he did before the change in visits was announced (but after the Michigan UTL visit), since his comment today is essentially, 'this makes UF a bigger player since he didn't outright cancel his visit'.
FWIW Farrell thinks Bama has relatively no chance because they can only offer him an engineering major, which he doesn't want anymore.

Not sure if it makes Florida a bigger player than before. I guess the only thing that makes them the bigger player is them getting the last visit.
I think this decision just shows that it is a two team race. He is rescheduling the big LSU vs. Alabama game to go to Florida instead.

Muschamp isn't leaving Florida. He grew up in Gainesville, and one of the reasons he left UT (where he was HC-in-waiting) is because he was sick of UT's administration.
September 17th, 2013 at 2:37 PM ^
It was an interesting situation - as I recall, Muschamp's contract at the time in Texas had no buyout and the title of "coach-in-waiting" was clearly not attached to a timeline even despite Brown's contract, which is still two years or so from expiring. At the time Muschamp left, I seem to recall that there was some rumbling about Brown stepping down after 2010, but then he changed his mind and Muschamp was livid, by most most accounts. I don't blame him for leaving.

The more I watch Texas implode, the more I wonder who wants to really coach that team. We say that UM has lots of pressure and needs a certain type of guy at the top, but UT basically carries the banner for the whole state of Texas (obviously there are pockets of other fans, but still), and Texas is HUGE. RR struggled with the politics at UM and by all accounts UM boosters aren't in the same ballpark as Texas ones. At best you win a lot and tread water; at worst you lose and everyone loses their minds.

Which is weird, because Mike Farrell is reporting that Florida State is now Hand's leader. It's also the leader of EJ Levenberry, Bo Jackson, and Andrew Jackson.

Bama vs . Tenn would be a terrible game for a official.. Tenn is terrible. Wont be good game at all.

Hand: "It was crazy...I got there,...had breakfast."
Sure sounds to me like he just fits in real well at Michigan. Wonder if he had a chance to try the subs?
