Current B10 Men's BBall Tournament Draw looks very favorable

Here is the B10 tournament if the season ended today.   IMHO this is as good of a draw as M could hope for with winnable games all the way to the final, plus we don't want a double bye because we need some Ws.

Most likely would be Wisconsin, Northwestern, Indiana, Purdue if M can win each game

This draw would be more than ideal but unfortunately this will change a lot before the season ends. The big ten season has been a shit show where anyone can lose on any given day

How odd is it and a crazy year for Michigan and the Big Ten at large where you say you DON’T want a double bye so as to improve your resume?

This is some bizarro world Big Ten basketball we’re dealing with.

It's a bizarre year in the B1G, I'll give you that. Having not followed the season all that closely, I was shocked when I saw ESPN projecting nine teams from the B1G. I would have thought around half of that, most of the conference seems mediocre to awful.

But that's not really all that strange when you think about it, it's really just life for a team around the bubble. Unless you're going to win your conference tournament, it's always better to get more wins than it is to skip those wins via byes. Though I will agree, it's strange that teams in position for those byes (especially double byes) are on the bubble; usually those teams are solidly in at this point...

i mean, wisky didnt score for 11 minutes and we still couldnt win. that was last week. Yeah, they suck, but they beat us. I don't see that as ideal even though we think we *should* beat them.

Last 10 games

LWLLWWWLLW = 5-5. What trend are you seeing? We've been somewhat competitive all year, but I don't see how beating MSU at home in an emotionally charged game translates.

Rutgers has been sliding. Tonight is a blackout game in their place. I'm not sure its an amazing win, but certainly one we need.

Its hilarious that OSU is 13th though. love it.

I just don't think you should be too fixated on a game in Kohl to evaluate a Michigan team.  Our record in that building has been horrible since it opened.

This team has been competitive just about every time out, but has struggled to finish.  The MSU home game may have been a turning point, or maybe not ... we'll find out.

Not fixated. The thread was about our FAVORABLE tourney schedule. We would play Wisconsin in the first game. Seems... appropriate. And its not something that I see us having improved on "recently", hence my point that it was only a week ago.

I don't see us as heavy favorites to win any games, regardless of opponent, even against the poorer teams.

Let me put on my blue shaded sunglasses to say that this draw will bring us to the Tourney. We will get 2 or 3 more wins in the B1G Tourney which will be enough to get us to the Big Dance
