The curious story of Cole Marcoux
Reality star who wins a trip to play in the AA game turns out to be the real star. This from a guy with NO STARS who is going to Dartmouth.

Just another in a long line of great players missed by D1 recruiting. I wonder how many get missed per year.

Well he might get a late offer from some school, that'd be awesome.
Got gipped out of the MVP award too.

Though he may want to stick with Dartmouth if it is a school of only moderate reputation, academically or athletically.
Degree from Dartmouth is a tad better than 3rd string at Louisiana Tech.

from what I saw of him in the AA game. Nice strong arm.
With a name like Marcoux and a voice like Eli Manning I expected him to be from Louisiana but he goes to school in the Bronx.

Networking opportunities continue to arise. Martinez, who championed Marcoux throughout the series’ nine episodes that have been shown, invited him to his home in Menlo Park, Calif., two weeks ago, but called days before to see if a scheduling change was possible. Brady, coming off a game against the Buffalo Bills in which he felt he struggled, wanted to fly Martinez to New England for a tuneup. Martinez called Marcoux and asked if he would mind rerouting to Boston for a workout with Brady. “Let’s just say I have a $2,000 voucher from the airline since the tickets were nonrefundable,” said Marcoux’s father, Rick. For two days, Brady, his backup Brian Hoyer and Marcoux trained together. Martinez said, “You could not tell there was a high schooler on the field.” Later, Marcoux ate pizza with Brady in a luxury box while Brady’s dog and 2-year-old son, John, joined them. “It was surreal,” Marcoux said. When he suits up Saturday, Marcoux insists he will get dressed like any other game. “If this isn’t Cinderella, then I don’t know what is,” Kate McGuinness said. “But I do have doubts that Cole’s foot would fit in any glass slipper with that Division I size.”http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/08/sports/ncaafootball/08quarterback.htm… More at the link

Irish, just pokin' fun... not trying to be an ass... I like your posts
But come to think of it, you DO need another QB ;)

but it's walk on Nate Montana...he's coming back to ND now that Charlie is gone.
bTw, why is it that ND QB's can't stay away from fondling themselves in public? I think this is where Nate is eying Jimmy. And is it just me or is getting bitch tits from the ..cough cough...roids..cough cough..he's taking?

He isn't coming back because Weis is gone, this is what he planned to do when he transferred initially, except no one really believed him and especially after the change in offensive systems. I do love to add the depth though
Every guy gets that itch on occasion. Mgoblog's propensity to find these photos and ogle them with other UM fans kind of worries me though. lol =)

Irish, great post above. Love this kid's story, he will be a winner where ever he goes. Thanks for giving me a reason to do something besides question why an ND fan is always hanging on this blog....but just this once. +1

I agree that if the AA game was any indication of Marcoux play then he defidently deserves a division 1 scholarship from someone

and Marcoux was the best QB on the field, period. This is just one game, but how many guys use this game as a platform? His first TD pass was off a beautiful double pump and he threw a laser over the middle. He also had a great deep ball that was dropped and threw across his body for a real nice two point conversion. I'll be shocked if he doesn't end up on a big team, simply because of his size and new founded potential.
