Cunningham & Dell plead guilty
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/ncaa/01/28/msu-suspensio…
The conspiracy count is dropped (most definately in exchange for their pleading guilty to the assault & battery). Face up to 93 days in jail, but could get probation. Either way, Dantonio now has two starting WRs with convictions on their record.
My predictions:
1) They will be starting by the second week of the season.
2) Local media will commend them for taking responsibility for their actions --- time to put this unfortunate altercation behind them

he has to suspend them for the whole season... he HAS to set an example to the rest of the team... if he lets them play this year, the same shit is going to keep happening...

Do you honestly expect that to happen? We are talking about Dantonio here

Scumbag.
I love saying that...

but thats what should happen...

he cares more about winning games than to teach them a lesson. its no wonder rogers and plexico are where they are today

That would be a different Michigan State Coach's fault.

Nice touch.
Seriously, WTF Dantonio?

It's really sad when you seen one with a shiner, to know that it's probably from having an "altercation" with one of their parents.

Saint Dantonio won't do the right thing, but will be celebrated for doing exactly that in the instate media. Meanwhile, UM and RR will be criticized for the actions of former players Whitley and Skrepanak, even though they happened well after graduation.
The crimes of two former UM players will be called "troubles at UM," while the gang attack of fourteen MSU players on a frat house will be called an "altercation" or "incident."
I am really thankful that we have the blogoshpere in general, and mgoblog in particular.

If Dantonio's learned anything from Tressel, he'll quickly brush this under the rug with a partial game suspension, stern wag of the finger, and a press conference about how "this here'll be handled internally". He'll make an example out of role players, not starters.

for giving troubled kids a second chance.

This is nothing more then a Sparty right of passage handed down from the long lineage of Michigan State wide recievers. Somewhere Andre Rison and Plaxico Buress are saluting with Hennesy.

Plax with the 21 gun salute

They won't get suspended for the whole season, nor should they. Odoms and Roundtree do the same thing and I guarantee you they're playing next year.
But Odoms and Roundtree didn't, so it'll be fun to make fun of all the rationalizing Sparty fans.

"My predictions:

They'll be starting by the first game. And if not starting, they'll be in by the second series. Book it. Done.

I wonder if they got a deal for probation if they plead guilty and agreed to testify on anyone else that doesn't plea guilty. That would make things so much more interesting...

MSU fans really do have issues. This article hit the local paper, and 1/2 of the comments in the thread there are some type of "michigan is evil/scUM/Michigan is worse than us".
Wow.
As for these guys, team wrist slap in ...3...2...1...

And their big interview with Dell's father where he insisted that his son told him he didn't punch anybody, and that it was all overblown. We know that wasn't true.

Guess brings into question the merit of the whole article, doesn't it?
