Rod Moore, a 3 star Safety from Clayton, OH at Northmont. He's the #12 ranked player in OH.
Every crystal ball he has has come in today from Sam Webb, Lorenz, Wiltfong and Allen Trieu.
Listed as "warm" on his offer list are Michigan, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky and Pitt.
He also has an ND offer.
According to 247 he will announce tomorrow.
If you take a more national perspective And take off those maize glasses PSU and umich are pretty similar, minus the inconic coach involved with some awful stuff. Iconic stadiums, rabid fan base, great tradition. Unfortunately umich about to be in similar boat with sexual misconduct by a predator inexplicably left in a position to predate
There isn't quite a place like the mgoboard where the same argument gets repeated over and over for about 18 months to 4 years.
We can handle Cincinnati, KY, and IU in recruiting - right?
I’ve never been more disappointed in anything sports related than I am with the Harbaugh hire. My expectations were so high. His recruiting and schematics are below sea level.
While I like this kid, anybody who thinks our recruiting is going well is an apologist. It’s not going well. Something stinks in AA. I don’t know if players hosting recruits are saying things about the staff, or our coaches aren’t hitting the road hard enough (metaphorical road bc Covid), or likely a combination of them, but we aren’t recruiting anything like even the Lloyd Carr days.
Just looked at Minnesota's recruiting class and they have the 6th best recruiting class in the country with the same number of 4 stars or better than Michigan has. I think Fleck would recruit much better at Michigan than Harbaugh.
Harbaugh is UM's worst recruiting head coach not named rich rod in the last 50 years. Let that sink in.
PJ Fleck would win a national title at Michigan because he understands what Harbaugh doesn't...recruiting is the lifeblood of your program. Look at the commits on defense in this class and tell me how many of them other elite schools wanted. And I mean really wanted not paper offers. The answer is zero.
Jim Harbaugh is a pitiful ass recruiter. His defensive staff is pitiful. I'm sick of losing to OSU. ISn't anyone else. This pitiful ass class is going to set UM back another 4-5 years. God damn it Jim just go back to the NFL already.
Oh Sean please go change your panties. You always show up when 3 stars sign. Conversely, when we have a four star sign you never create a new account to Spew our hot garbage. You’re so enamored with Harbaugh that you say,”this fanbase!” Later you try to use we! Please ask can you leave the basement this week!!!
I’m sure he’d love to show up when we sign 4 and 5 stars but....
All in. Sign Fleck for a fraction of Harbaugh and use the rest of his salary for the best recruiting assistants money can buy.
3-4 years later you'll see a powerhouse. Done!
If we don’t get Edwards and Spindler then As far as I’m concerned it will be time for a new coach. We can’t keep losing these top recruits from our state. I know we are better off than we were with rich rod and Hoke but we are losing massive ground to osu. I don’t even look forward to the season anymore because you know what’s coming at the end of the year.
is this good news, or just news?
Anyone on that 3 star BS watch the tApe this kid can ball.
I did. He looks ok, nothing special. 3 stars seems about right, especially since he is CB size. Hopefully he isn't done growing, which is a real possibility at his age. He doesn't mind stepping up to make a tackle, though he isn't some devastating hitter. I much prefer Paige from last year.
Awesome. D looks absolutely stacked in 3-4 years... And who the fuck cares anymore? Isn't Heisenberg rising? Jonny 2cents offers the ungulate paradox? Black hole sunset?
22 seconds is good, it's not elite. Mostly that just shows how poor our secondary recruiting has been.
That's actually really slow.
Not enough info. Is it 22.9 or closer to 22 flat? 22.9 is fast, but not elite D1 cornerback speed. 22.1 or faster would get the job done. But corners also need elite start/ stop and change of direction quickness more than straight line Track speed.
Everyone wish JANTLEYAA, a happy Mother’s Day!!! Hopefully you get your flowers while you’re here. Oh yeah and clean of that desktop in the basement. Those Harbaugh darts are getting dust on them.
*off
I want him to see his mother today with a big ribbon on his head, and I want her to look him straight in the eye and I want her to tell him what a lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, rat-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit that he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?
This class cycle for recruiting has a few guys that the recruiting sites have not caught up to yet. Enough of the doom and gloom crowd. It is not a coincidence that success is directly related to quarterback play. That position gets better with fewer turnovers our win / loss will improve. Keep grinding and getting players for our system. Develop what we have coming in.
No this class fucking sucks. Just call it what it is.
For everyone complaining about him being a three star I bet you barely even pay attention to recruiting. First of all Moore is on the cusp of being a four star. Second Moore was one of the highest risers in the recent 247 rankings update. He went from a 84 to a 89 and he’s not done rising yet either.
That’s one of my biggest issues with the star gazing crowd. It’s a generally populated by people who don’t know anything about the kid, his film, or why he’s ranked the way he is. They only see where he’s ranked and pretend thats the whole story and all they need to know
If JH wants this kid I'm on board. Jim knows more about talent than any of us.
Still executing poorly with the troll posts. Keep trying. You'll get a hang of it soon. Don't be discouraged.
Getting back into Ohio......is a good thing.
The safety who played for Iowa... forgot his name but he was really a good player this past season. Shorter but a sure tackler with great speed. He made plays all over the field in Michigan's tight win over the Hawks this past season. If this young man is in that vein, great. Sign me up. Sometimes safety types are under-rated because of lack of height, etc. but it sounds like this kid has great speed which is what we need.
I agree with posters upset about some of the defensive recruiting efforts but... I believe other posters are spot-on in that the game is now all about offense and even Alabama... their "elite" level defensive players get lit up for 35, 40 points by a better offense. Football is a track meet now. Great to see us close to bringing in a track and field athlete who loves the game. Congrats to the young man whatever he chooses.
