Corley and Hill will commit on same day

Per both of their Twitter pages, 2016 prospect Donnie Corley and Lavert Hill will be committing on the same day. Corley is pushing back his initial announcement date of December 8. Corley's tweet: https://twitter.com/hit_squad9/status/673985335249018880 I'm not sure how often this is done by HS teammates. I would wonder how often it's done by teammates if they're announcing for different schools. As much as a sure thing Hill has been talked about for Michigan, it would be interesting to see them commit to UM/MSU since that seems where Corley is headed. This would be a fun ceremony to watch, if they do one (provided at least one of them goes Blue).

They're from the same high school and know each other. I'd guess that it means nothing and Corley will probably still go to MSU and Hill will still go to Michigan. Hopefully they both go blue though.

Or you mean a guy who looked like a bust until a breakout senior year?

UM already has that guy - he's called Chesson.  And I guess also Darboh.  Oh yeah, and Jake Butt.  But all those guys still have a year to go.

I can definitely see a situation where these guys are good friends but also really competitive, so they're announcing they're going to rivals schools at opposing positions (WR/DB). Like the start of a four-year war between them.

My instant reaction was "dammit they're both going to state", then I thought about it and wonder if this their attempt to start a friendly rivalry of sorts. It would be pretty sweet to see the two of them clash one-on-one each year for their respective schools.

Jesus Christ, people. High school teammates commit together all of the time, and often to different schools. It happens every year. It's a great way for high school teams to celebrate the end of a season.
